Hello everyone
Beautiful day and a lovely week to you all and I hope you all are doing great, it's another Monday in this great community where we get to see beautiful creativity from our fellow needleworker.
Last week, I was asked to make a simple gown for my niece to wear to a wedding, considering how busy I was, I just had to make something really simple and quick, anytime she has the opportunity of someone giving her left over fabric, it means I'm in for it as she will have to disturb me until I'm able to make the dress for her.
I decided to make a double flare gown with half length and a puff sleeve just to make it stylish.
To begin with.
I folded the fabric in a triangle shape to cut out the bigger flare then after which I cut out the smaller one which was sewn together
The upper bodice was cut out and sewn to the flare as to make it a complete dress.
Looking at the dress, it looks so simple so I decided to add a stylish sleeve to it as I cut out a straight sleeve and a puff sleeve together on the dress.
Finally, the left over fabric was used to make a ruffle scrunchy.
This is the final outcome
