Happy Sunday to you all on this beautiful day, it's with great pleasure I bring to you the making of this simple but beautiful gown I made for my niece in less than 1hour.
During the weekend, Friday to be precised, I was sitting outside with my niece having nice time and talking about life generally, then we were talking about how Sunday will look like and my niece said she needed to wear something new to church and begged me to made a simple gown for her, I told her I was busy though I wasn't but I said that just for me not to help her make it, but then she pleaded and kept disturbing me, I had no choice than to help make the dress for her.
I told her to bring the fabric to my place, when I saw the fabric, I just decided in me not to stress myself other than sew something simple for her.
I folded the fabric in 2 to cut the front bodice then placed the front on another folded fabric to cut the back, I used her measurement to cut out her body shape with ease allowance and sewing allowance as well.
I had to cut the sleeves together with the shoulder measurement in other to minimize the fabric as it would not be enough if I decide to cut the sleeves separately.
After cutting out the shape, I found out a have a long strip of fabric that is left over so I decided to used it creatively on the dress so, I made pleat round the side and hem of the gown to give it a beautiful look.
All the seam were neatly sewn and finally, I have this beautiful gown here, ironed and delivered to my niece, she was so happy because she didn't trust me to deliver it as soon as I did. I'm glad she liked it with the beautiful smile on her face.
