Hello everyone!
It is another beautiful Monday morning to show you how I cut and sew this senator top for my friend's little brother.
Sometimes ago I made a dress for my friend's little sister and I had a left over from the fabric which can be enough to make a top for her brother.
Although, I am not good at it but I decided to give it a try. It took me a whole day trying to make it look good.
Cutting and sewing process
With the body measurements taken, I folded the fabric in two to cut out the full length using the shoulder measurement for the width
placed it on another fabric to cut out the back pattern with 4" increase in length
Place the front and back pieces together, make sure the back is above the font and fold over the front pattern before cutting out the shoulder slant, armhole, body shape, neckline and front opening.
Measure out the armhole to cut out the sleeves.
Take it to the sewing machine for sewing.
Join the shoulder and pipe the neckline with bias tape
Sew the side seam leaving a side opening at both sides.
Fold the hem and add the sleeves.
