Blooming sewing lovers day, today I came here to submit my post for the C/NeedleWorkMonday contest of NEEDLEWORK YOUR KITCHEN!, which excites me greatly. For this I made a vintage style apron to simulate a colorful and different dress.
How many of us feel overwhelmed and overheated due to the daily grind of cooking? And we also want to look beautiful when we finish the task! The feeling of wanting to be presentable is a desire that surely we all share, especially when we have guests at home, that's why I wanted to dedicate this space to all those who want to look pretty and beautiful when wearing an apron.
The aprons that are for sale are always straight and simple, they are made so that everyone can buy them, regardless of gender, and those that are made for women are too corny for my taste, so I set to work to create an ideal apron for women, that fits the female figure and is made of colorful fabrics, left behind the canvas and other not very flexible fabrics that only make our figures square.
Florecido día amantes de la costura, hoy he venido aquí a presentar mi post para el concurso de C/NeedleWorkMonday de NEEDLEWORK YOUR KITCHEN!, lo que me emociona enormemente. Para esto he confeccionado un delantal de estilo vintage para simular un vestido colorido y diferente.
¿Cuántas de nosotras nos sentimos abrumadas y acaloradas debido al trabajo diario de cocinar? ¡Y además queremos vernos bellas al terminar la tarea! La sensación de querer estar presentables es un deseo que seguramente todas compartimos, sobre todo cuando tenemos invitados en casa, es por eso que he querido dedicar este espacio a todas aquellas que desean verse lindas y bellas al usar un delantal.
Los delantales que están a la venta siempre son rectos y simples, los hacen así para que todos puedan comprarlos, sin importar el género, y los que están hechos para las mujeres son muy cursis para mi gusto, así que me puse manos a la obra para crear un delantal ideal para las mujeres, que se adapte a la figura femenina y que esté fabricado en telas vistosas, atrás quedaron las lonas y otras telas poco flexibles que solo vuelven cuadradas nuestras figuras.

To make it was very simple, I only drew two patterns, one for the bodice, which I gave a princess cut, with its darts, and half skirt type A for the lower part. I also cut on the bias the flounce of the skirt and many ribbons to hide the internal seams, to feel beautiful inside and out.
The main fabric, which occupies the bodice and skirt, I looked for was a stain resistant one, because I want it to keep the beauty of the color, so I used micro-stitch, an anti-fluid fabric that comes in beautiful colors and designs; the fabric for the bias, the flounce and the tie tapes, with cotton fabric.
The main thing in any case is the issue of color, to achieve a perfect match between the fabrics, we must first analyze the colors of the main fabric. And from our analysis we will get the appropriate combination. For example, today I am presenting two aprons, one, where the colors that stand out the most are red and black with green touches, but using green would detract from the sensuality of the fabric, so I chose red, which is not so abundant although it stands out, so I managed to make it stand out even more and gave it an elegant touch.
For the pink apron, I didn't have many options, since its design presents different shades of pink, so I chose to contrast it with a barely perceptible color that is present in the fabric, violet, so I rest a little the sweetness of the fabric, and create a contrast that combines perfectly.
Hacerlo fue muy sencillo, para ceñir el delantal solo dibujé dos patrones, uno para el corpiño al que le di un corte princesa, con sus pinzas, y media falda tipo A para la parte baja. Además corté al sesgo el vuelo de la falda y muchas cintas para ocultar las costuras internas, para sentirnos bellas por dentro y por fuera.
La tela principal, que ocupa el corpiño y la falda, que busqué fue una resistente a las manchas, pues quiero que mantenga la belleza del color, así que utilicé micro-punto, una tela anti-fluidos que viene en hermosos colores y diseños; la tela para el bies, el volado y las cintas de amarre, con tela de algodón.
Lo principal en todo caso es el tema del color, para alcanzar un perfecto match entre las telas, debemos analizar primero los colores de la tela principal. Y de nuestro análisis conseguiremos la combinación apropiada. Por ejemplo, hoy estoy presentando dos delantales, uno, donde los colores que más resaltan son el rojo y el negro con toques verdes, pero usar el verde le restaría sensualidad a la tela, así que escogí el rojo, que no es tan abundante aunque resalta, así logré que resaltara aún más y le di un toque elegante.
Para el delantal rosa, no tenía muchas opciones, ya que su diseño presenta distintos tonos de rosa, por lo que elegí hacer contraste con un color apenas perceptible pero que está presente en la tela, el violeta, así resto un poco el edulcorado de la tela, y creo un contraste que combina perfectamente.

To present a polished seam is one of my ambitions, I was not born into a family of seamstresses, so I had to learn on my own, and between trial and error I invented the views of Coco Chanel, without knowing it since I did not know they existed. Since I was a teenager I was always attracted to sewing, not as a profession, but looking for a way to dress to my taste since few stores sell clothes that fit me well when I wear them. As a teenager I was always looking to transform or adjust all the clothes my parents bought me.
Then I needed to delve deeper into my sewing techniques, as I am a visual artist and my work focuses on textiles as a means to express my ideas, so I began studying cutting and sewing at an academy, which was doubly favorable, not only had the technique to work faster my works in textiles, I could also make clothes that I liked.
Presentar una costura pulida es una de mis ambiciones, no nací en una familia de costureras, así que me tocó aprender por mi cuenta, y entre ensayo y error inventé las vistas de Coco Chanel, sin saberlo ya que no sabía que existían. Desde adolescente siempre me atrajo la costura, no como una profesión, sino buscando la manera de vestirme a mi gusto ya que pocas tiendas venden ropa que me sienta bien al usar. Cuando adolescente siempre buscaba transformar o ajustar toda la ropa que me compraban mis padres.
Luego necesité ahondar más en mis técnicas de costura, pues soy artista plástico y mi trabajo se enfoca en los textiles como medio para expresar mi ideas, así que comencé estudios de corte y costura en una academia, lo que resultó doblemente favorable, no solo disponía de la técnica para trabajar más rápido mis obras en textiles, también podía hacer ropa que me gustara.
Then I started making aprons for sale, with my brand Roccocuchi, which has been on the market for a year now. Although I think I still have a lot to learn, I think that since I don't know all the sewing techniques, I have to invent solutions as I go along. With the good fortune that these inventions always turn out well.
An acquaintance, who is dedicated to sewing, recommended me not to sew the bias binding to hide the seams, she said that it would take away the fluidity of the fabric, and it is true if I were making a real dress, but it gives the apron firmness and it doesn't fall to the sides. Maybe I think like a sculptor and I feel that the seams are the structure of the clothes, and that it is our decision if we want that structure to be firm or to let it flow with the wind.
I also want to take this opportunity to give a heartfelt gift to my friend 
Luego comencé a confeccionar delantales para la venta, con mi marca Roccocuchi que ya tiene un año en el mercado. Aunque pienso que todavía me falta aprender mucho, pienso que al no conocer todas las técnicas de costura me toca inventar soluciones sobre la marcha. Con la buena suerte que siempre quedan bien estos inventos.
Una conocida, que se dedica a la costura, me recomendó no coser el bies para ocultar las costuras, ella decía que le restaba fluidez a la tela, y es verdad si estuviese haciendo un vestido verdadero, pero al delantal le otorga firmeza y so se anda cayendo para los lados. Será que pienso como escultora y siento que las costuras son la estructura de la ropa, y que es nuestra decisión si deseamos que esa estructura sea firme o que se deje fluir con el viento.

I still have beautiful fabrics to continue production, and I'm sure when I go looking for fabrics from the flights, I'll find plenty of others to follow.
Todavía tengo telas hermosas para continuar la producción, y seguro que cuando vaya a buscar las telas de los vuelos, encontraré otras muchas para seguir.
