What do you call the next level after happiness? Well if it has a name that's what I'm feeling, since I saw what the most recent Needleworkmonday contest was all about I got so excited that since then I haven't been able to think about anything else but the Barbie contest.

I have always loved this contest because here at NeedleworkMonday there is so much talent, creativity and passion for what we do. On the other hand the Barbies as always are beautiful and make us compete in a healthy and fun way.

¿Cómo se le puede llamar al siguiente nivel que sigue después de la felicidad? Pues si eso tiene un nombre es eso lo que estoy sintiendo, desde que vi de qué trataba el más reciente concurso de Needleworkmonday me emocioné tanto que desde entonces no he podido pensar en otra cosa que no sea el concurso de Barbie.

Siempre he amado este concurso porque aquí hay en NeedleworkMonday existe mucho talento, creatividad y pasión por lo que hacemos. Por otra parte las Barbies como siempre son hermosas y nos hacen competir de manera sana y divertida.

I remember I was on a trip when my friend @Purrix called me and told me about the contest, I immediately knew that it had to be a profession that would unite my heart with the doll's heart and together make one passion. Everyone who knows me knows of my love for nature, family, conservation of the planet; I am always going from one place to another getting to know new places where I can spend unique and unrepeatable moments.

Recuerdo que estaba de viaje cuando mi amiga @Purrix me llamó y me puso al tanto de lo que iba el concurso, de inmediato supe que debía tratarse de una profesión que uniera mi corazón con el de la muñeca y juntas hacer una sola pasión. Todas las que me conocen saben de mi amor por la naturaleza, la familia, la conservación del planeta; siempre me la paso de un lado a otro conociendo nuevos lugares donde pasar momentos únicos e irrepetibles.

At first I thought of making a Barbie with the best profession in the world "BEING A WOMAN" because it involves a lot of issues that many do not want to recognize. Being a woman has a valuable meaning, the woman is a mother, friend, wife, professional and although she has tried to get ahead in spite of, she is still not recognized as she should be. To be a woman you don't study at a university, even so, we take care of our children, we keep order, we take time to do the shopping, go to school meetings and many other things.

En un principio pensé en hacer una Barbie con la mejor profesión del mundo “SER MUJER” ya que involucra un sin fin de temas que muchos no quieren reconocer. Ser Mujer tiene un significado valioso, la mujer es madre, amiga, esposa, profesional y aunque ha tratado de salir adelante a pesar de, aun no es reconocida como debería ser. Para ser Mujer no se estudia en una universidad, aun así, sacamos los hijos adelante, mantenemos el orden, sacamos tiempo para hacer las compras, ir a las reuniones del colegio y muchas cosas más.

But anyway, because it is such a complex topic I decided to change it for something that is also interesting and it is about Barbie - environmental volunteering.

April is a wonderful month, not only because it is my birthday (April 3rd) but also because we celebrate spring and special dates dedicated to this topic such as Mother Earth Day.

Pero en fin, por ser un tema tan complejo decidí cambiarlo por algo que también es interesante y se trata de Barbie- voluntariado ambiental.

El mes de abril es un mes maravilloso, ¡no solo porque se celebra mi cumpleaños! (3 de abril) sino también porque celebramos la primavera y llegan fechas especiales dedicadas a este tema como el día de la madre tierra.

On the planet there are many foundations, organizations, volunteers who dedicate their time partially or completely to help or contribute to the preservation of the environment, and how good that there are people who work for this issue! because it is very sad to see how the human being is still unaware of the damage we are causing to our only spaceship.

En el planeta hay muchísimas fundaciones, organizaciones, voluntariado que dedica su tiempo parcial o completo ayudar o contribuir en la preservación del medio ambiente. ¡Y qué bueno que haya gente que trabaje en pro de este tema! porque es muy triste ver como el ser humano sigue sin enterarse del daño que le estamos causando a nuestra única nave espacial.

Last year for World Beaches Day I was lucky enough to participate in some activities as a volunteer to pick up trash on some beaches of La Guaira, this caught me and now I would like to stay involved in one way or another to feel useful in this aspect.

El año pasado por tratarse del día mundial de las playas tuve la suerte de intervenir en unas actividades como voluntario para ir a recoger basura en algunas playas de la Guaira, esto me atrapo y ahora me gustaría seguir involucrada de una u otra forma para sentirme útil en este aspecto.

My Barbie now takes a step forward and wants with this publication to contribute a grain of sand as an environmentalist, so she puts on her best clothes and tells us how we can be part of the solution either from our homes, our jobs and our hearts.

Mi Barbie ahora da un paso adelante y quiere con esta publicación aportar un granito de arena como ambientalista, por eso se pone sus mejores trajes y nos cuenta cómo podemos hacer parte de la solución ya sea desde nuestras casas, nuestros trabajos y nuestro corazón.

Nosotros vivimos en este planeta llamado tierra, piensa que puedes hacer por ella hoy o mañana y aprovéchala al máximo.

To make an awareness campaign is to collaborate in an indirect way, it is a way to let many people know about the issue and ask them to please help us to take care of this beautiful home called "EARTH".

Hacer una campaña de concientización es colaborar de manera indirecta, es una manera de hacerle llegar a muchas personas información sobre el tema y pedirles que por favor nos ayuden a cuidar este hogar tan bello llamado “TIERRA”.

Tener un jardín en casa es muy bonito, las plantas nos brindan belleza, armonía, frescura y engalanan con sus flores nuestros espacios. Por eso Barbie siempre se alegra cuando algunas de sus plantas florecen. Y yo les digo ¡no importa si no tienen terreno donde sembrar en sus casas! Si tú vives en un apartamento puedes sembrar en macetas y tenerlas en la ventana.

Barbie loves to be dressed comfortably and fresh to go to the garden, she loves to touch the bark of the trees, feel the breeze as it blows through, listen to the birds sing and breathe in the fragrance of the flowers.

A Barbie le encanta estar vestida de manera cómoda y fresca para ir al jardín, le encanta tocar la corteza de los árboles, sentir la brisa cuando pasa, escuchar el cantar de los pájaros y respirar la fragancia de las flores.

There are many ways to be a volunteer in environmental issues, it is not necessary to belong to a foundation, to be a volunteer is to be always attentive, to pick up a plastic bag on the beach, a glass bottle in the mountains, to collect seeds and help plant a tree.

Hay muchas formas de ser voluntario en el tema del ambiente, no hace falta pertenecer a una fundación, ser voluntario es estar siempre atento, es recoger una bolsa plástica en la playa, una botella de vidrio en la montaña, recolectar semillas y ayudar a sembrar un árbol.

But don't think that being an environmental volunteer is all work and picking up trash wherever we go, no, no, no! Getting involved in this topic also allows us to enjoy beautiful places, visit new places, meet and share with people who have the same feelings for nature. A few days ago Barbie and I went to the mountains, there we could discover and feel once again the immense LOVE that God felt for us the day he created the world. ¡Ah! Pero no crean que ser voluntariado ambiental es puro trabajo y recoger basura donde quiera que vamos, ¡no, no, no! Involucrarse en este tema también nos permite disfrutar de lugares hermosos, visitar sitios nuevos, conocer y compartir con gente que tiene tus mismos sentimientos por la naturaleza. Hace unos días Barbie y yo nos fuimos a la montaña, allí pudimos descubrir y sentir una vez más el inmenso AMOR que sintió Dios por nosotros el día que creo el mundo. Solo les puedo decir que Barbie y yo nos quedamos con la boca abierta al ver tanta maravilla junta.

Cuando eres amante de la naturaleza no te cansas de estar rodeado de ella, por eso cuando llegan los fines de semana inventas cualquier excusa para salir de casa y pasarla bien. Este sábado era “El día mundial de la tierra” y que mejor día para ir a la playa y compartir con ella. Para esta actividad Barbie y yo nos fuimos con nuestros amigos a la playa más cercana y aprovechamos de sacar un poco de plástico que se encontraba cerca de la orilla del mar.

Para ir a la montaña no hace falta mucha ropa y si nos pensamos bañar solo tenemos que llevar un buen short y una franela sencilla, así que también se trata de disfrutar cada momento de la vida y nada más.

When you are a nature lover you never get tired of being surrounded by nature, that's why when the weekends come you invent any excuse to get out of the house and have a good time. This Saturday was "World Earth Day" and what better day to go to the beach and share with her. For this activity Barbie and I went with our friends to the nearest beach and we took the opportunity to remove some plastic that was near the seashore.

Seeing this kind of things is very sad, that's why I thank God to have people like my husband, my sister and her husband who always dedicate some time to clean or pick up some waste from the place where we are going to settle.
On this day Barbie wore a red outfit that stood out with her skin type, all crocheted.

Once again Barbie wants to invite us to raise awareness, to educate the youngest to prevent our bad habits from harming other people and the environment. Climate change is no longer a future issue, it is something that is happening right now and you can do your bit at home by doing something as basic as unplugging appliances and cell phone chargers that you are not using.

Ver este tipo de cosas es muy triste, por eso doy gracias a dios de contar con personas como mi esposo, mi hermana y su esposo quienes siempre dedicamos un rato a limpiar o recoger un poco los desechos del lugar donde nos vamos a instalar.
En este día Barbie utilizó un traje rojo que resaltaba con su tipo de piel, todo tejido en crochet.

Una vez más Barbie nos quiere invitar a generar conciencia, que eduquemos a los más jóvenes para evitar que nuestros malos hábitos dañen a otras personas y al medio ambiente. El cambio climático ya no es un tema a futuro, es algo que está sucediendo en este momento y tu desde tu casa puedes aportar ese granito de arena siguiendo cosas tan básicas como es desenchufar los electrodomésticos, los cargadores de los celulares que no estés utilizando.

That is why today more than ever Barbie and environmental volunteering invites you to take care of nature and implement new ways of connecting with the environment, with more love and respect.

Por eso hoy más que nunca Barbie y el voluntariado ambiental te invita a cuidar la naturaleza e implementar nuevas formas de vincularse con el entorno ambiental, con más amor y respeto.

Today I didn't want to focus so much on an elegant outfit, made with great sewing and knitting techniques, today I wanted to focus on what we as human beings can do for others, for what surrounds us, no matter the clothes, the brand; in truth none of that matters if we don't have a healthy and beautiful planet where we can live.

Thanks to the community for having opened this window where I could express myself and feel useful, talking about this topic. I wish luck to each of the participants because they have really done wonderful jobs.

Hoy no quise enfocarme tanto en un outfit elegante, hecho con grandes técnicas de costura y tejido, hoy quise enfocarme en lo que nosotros como seres humanos podemos hacer por los demás, por lo que nos rodea, no importa la ropa, la marca; en verdad que nada de eso importa si no tenemos un planeta sano y bonito donde podamos vivir.
