¡Tómate el tiempo! ¡Un desafío comunitario de NeedleWorkMonday!
Increíblemente pude llegar a tiempo para mostrar mi publicación, hace días que venía pensando en que podía presentar para esta iniciativa, de verdad hay tantas cosas que tenía y sigo teniendo en mente por hacer pero que por falta de tiempo nunca ha sido posible cumplir con eso.
Lo que si dejé claro desde un principio era que tenía que ser algo para mí, quiero elaborar una pieza de esas que siempre he soñado tener y que me hacen falta por una u otra razón. Ustedes han escuchado el dicho que dice, "En casa de herrero, cuchillo de palo" pues ese dicho está muy bien dicho y me cae completo a mí, porque le hago piezas hermosas a todo el mundo menos para mí.
Así que me dije a mis misma _ Carolina, esta es tu oportunidad, no la dejes escapar.
Si voy a ocupar mi tiempo para participar en esta iniciativa que mejor que hacerme algo que realmente voy a usar, que me guste y que mejor que mostrárselos a ustedes como lo hice y por qué lo hice.
Miñardi o Crochet de Horquilla
La palabra “miñardi” proviene del término del francés mignardise, con el mismo significado: labor de encaje para ropa. Según el Pequeño Larousse Ilustrado aparece el sinónimo: Crochet de Horquilla, el Millaré, hairpin lace loom.
Escogí esta técnica porque desde hace rato que la quería aprender hacer, la técnica se llama miñardi y el instrumento que se utiliza se llama Horquilla, esta técnica va de la mano con el crochet, juntas se unen para hacer magia y construir piezas únicas, hermosas.
Esta horquilla también tiene su historia, porque la adquirí cuando fui de visita a casa de la Señora Belén, la abuelita que siempre les nombro en mis publicaciones y de quien aprendí muchísimas cosas para ampliar mis conocimientos en tejido. Cuando ella se sintió que ya no podía trabajar más y necesitaba dinero para sus cosas comenzó a verde lo que sabía que ya no iba a usar; entonces un día me llamó y me invitó a su casa con el pretexto de tomar un café, pues mi sorpresa fue que al llegar tenía muchas cosas en la sala, su intención no solo era venderme sino quería que yo me quedara con muchas cosas que para ella eran una reliquia porque hacían parte de su historia.
Ese día prácticamente me quedé con todo, aunque había cosas que no necesitaba y había otras que estaban repetidas tomé todo aquello y me lo traje a casa y se lo pagué con la mayor de las alegrías. Ahora forman parte de mi tesoro especial porque un año después la Señora Belén nos dejó y se fue a tejer cosas hermosas en el cielo.
Belén me explicó como tejer con la horquilla y Tambien recordé una manta de bebé blanca, muy hermosa, que una vez me mostró mi profesor de tejido. Así que uniendo todos estos pensamientos y las ganas de hacer y aprender me dispuse a iniciar.
Las horquillas vienen de muchos tamaños, yo apenas tengo esta, pero ahora que aprendí tengo ganas de ir donde un carpintero para mandar hacer una de madera que sea más ancha para elaborar cosas bellas.

Este mini video que les hago es para mostrar cómo es la puntada más básica del Miñardi, para eso utilicé lana gruesa y una aguja de tejer numero 4 m.m. En verdad que he visto cosas espectaculares realizadas con esta técnica que dicho sea es muy sencilla de hacer,
Unión de las tiras
La idea principal de esta técnica es elaborar tiras largas y luego unirlas formando un trenzado en relieve según la cantidad de hebras que tomes al momento de unir la tira del lado A y la tira del lado B.

Yo al igual que ustedes tampoco voy a decir lo que voy hacer, así que nos tendremos que esperar hasta el lunes para ver el resultado final. Yo por ahí deje unos comentarios tratando de adivinar lo que las demás chicas van hacer, ahora vamos a ver quién me adivina mi proyecto.

Incredibly I was able to arrive in time to show my publication, for days I had been thinking about what I could present for this initiative, there are really so many things that I had and still have in mind to do but for lack of time it has never been possible to fulfill that.
What I made clear from the beginning was that it had to be something for me, I want to make one of those pieces that I have always dreamed of having and that I need for one reason or another. You have heard the saying "In a blacksmith's house, a wooden knife", well that saying is very well said and it applies to me, because I make beautiful pieces for everyone but me.
So I said to myself _ Carolina, this is your chance, don't let it slip away.
If I am going to spend my time to participate in this initiative what better than to make myself something that I will really use, that I like and what better than to show you guys how I did it and why I did it.
Miñardi or Hairpin Crochet

This hairpin also has its history, because I acquired it when I went to visit Mrs. Belen's house, the grandmother that I always mention in my publications and from whom I learned many things to expand my knowledge in knitting. When she felt that she could no longer work and needed money for her things she began to green what she knew she was no longer going to use; then one day she called me and invited me to her house with the pretext of having a coffee, because my surprise was that when I arrived she had many things in the living room, her intention was not only to sell me but she wanted me to keep many things that for her were an heirloom because they were part of her history.
That day I kept practically everything, although there were things that I did not need and there were others that were repeated I took everything and I brought it all home and I paid her with the greatest of joy. Now they are part of my special treasure because a year later Lady Bethlehem left us and went to weave beautiful things in heaven.
Belen explained to me how to knit with the bobby pin and I also remembered a very beautiful white baby blanket that my knitting teacher once showed me. So putting all these thoughts together and the desire to make and learn I set out to start.
Hairpins come in many sizes, I just have this one, but now that I learned I feel like going to a carpenter to have one made out of wood that is wider to make beautiful things.

This mini video I make is to show you how is the most basic stitch of the Miñardi, for that I used thick wool and a knitting needle number 4 mm. I have really seen spectacular things made with this technique which is very easy to do,
Joining the strips
The main idea of this technique is to make long strips and then join them together forming a braid in relief according to the amount of strands you take when joining the strip on side A and the strip on side B.
