Greetings to all my friends in the needlework lovers club! Heeding the call of the Hive account@needleworkmonday community, NeedleWork Your Jeans Contest, I would like to present a cute jean fabric patch in the shape of a teapot that I made to decorate my Filipino chef jacket.

¡Saludos a todos mis amigos del club de los amantes de las agujas! Atendiendo la convocatoria de la comunidad Hive account@needleworkmonday NeedleWork Your Jeans Contest, me gustaría presentar un bonito parche de tela de jean en forma de tetera que hice para decorar mi chaqueta filipina de chef.

I confess that having a chef's uniform to prepare my sweet and savory recipes has always been my dream. Starting my own food business has been on my mind for a long time and now that I feel much better, I am living back in my country with my mom and my family, I feel very encouraged and I will try to undertake this project.

Confieso que tener el uniforme de chef para preparar mis recetas dulces y saladas, siempre fue mi gran sueño. Emprender mi negocio de comida me ha rondado la cabeza desde hace mucho tiempo y ahora que me siento mucho mejor, que estoy viviendo de regreso en mi país con mi mamá y mi familia, pues me siento muy animada y trataré de emprender este proyecto.

The first thing I decided to do was to customize my Filipino chef jacket to my liking, so I made the design of a teapot and looked for pieces of fabric. For the body of the teapot I used jean fabric, for the decorations I used orange fabric to match the original color of the jacket.

Lo primero que decidí hacer fue personalizar mi chaqueta filipina de cocinera a mi gusto, así que hice el diseño de una tetera y busqué trozos de tela. Para el cuerpo de la tetera utilicé tela de jean, para las decoraciones utilicé tela de color naranja para combinar con el color original de la chaqueta.

I made the mold of the teapot out of paper. I cut it into pieces so that I could select fabrics of different colors.

Hice el molde de la tetera en papel. Lo recorté en piezas para poder seleccionar telas de diferentes colores.

I put cotton stuffing in each piece and sewed it with double thread in visible seams to give it a decorative country touch.

Le puse relleno de algodón a cada pieza y lo cocí con hilo doble en costuras visibles para darle un toque decorativo country.

I really enjoyed doing this project, barefoot, in a chair that fits my arm conditions to work calmly and happy to be decorating my new jacket.

Disfruté mucho hacer este proyecto, descalza, en una silla que se adapte a las condiciones de mi brazo para trabajar tranquila y feliz por estar decorando mi chaqueta nueva.

When I finished the teapot, I added a red and white ribbon to make it more decorative. And it was ready to be used for the first time.

Cuando terminé la tetera, le agregué un lazo de color blanco y rojo para hecerla más decorativa. Y quedó lista para estrenarla.
