Hehehehehehehehe. I had to bribe to be my knitting model for this one!
Look how far I've gotten with my latest scarf, though!
Knitting these scarves started out as a "last-ditch" attempt to save my sanity about 2 years back when the shit was hitting the fan... I mean... It's still hitting the fan, but I think I need to just make peace with the fact that adulthood is generally just shit hitting the fan... lol?
Anyway, they grew into what I now call my "heart scarves," and I knit them as gifts for people I love. Look at this lovely one I knitted for my mommy:
My current project is for 's friend, who has become my friend too! What a lovely soul.
When I asked him what colour scarf he would like, he said he wanted one just like mine! This made me suuuuuuuuper happy as I just love these magical-rainbow-my-little-pony colours!
I am so excited that I am doing so well and becoming seriously efficient.
I have a lot more knitting projects that I have been cooking up in my mind - like I personally need ones in more colours, needs one for school, and I want to learn some new stitching techniques! Also, there are SO many people I love that I would adore gifting scarves to, but I also want to start knitting blankets!
This hobby brings me so much joy, and I can do it while watching movies and staying warm under my blankie!
My amazing friend Pierre, who gave up big city life in Cape Town and moved up the East Coast to a small town called George, has been knitting blankets for a while now.
He has discovered something I never even knew existed! Circular needles! Just look how many stitches that holds!!!
I am definitely going to scout some out on my next trip to the Wool Shoppe! ππ§Άπ§΅ π
