Hola amigos. Empezando una nueva semana 😀 con todos los ánimos y la mente positiva para alcanzar todas las metas del mes. Espero que todos estén muy bien y que gocen de buena salud.
El día de hoy paso a mostrarles algunas imágenes sobre el proceso de elaboración de un AMIGURUMI que me pidió mi nieta Sofía. Ella va a participar en una presentación de baile este mes de junio, me invitó a verla y me dijo que lo hará muy bien, por lo tanto que se merecerá un regalo y me pidió que le tejiera a Dora,la exploradora.

Today I am going to show you some images about the process of making an AMIGURUMI that my granddaughter Sofia asked me to make. She is going to participate in a dance performance this June, she invited me to see her and she told me that she will do very well, so she will deserve a gift and she asked me to knit her Dora, the explorer.
🗺️ Al principio pensé en utilizar un cuerpo base e irlo adaptando a las características del personaje, después decidí tejerla a como me fuera saliendo y eso fue lo que hice, me senté a tejer 🧶 y a copiar los apuntes por si de nuevo tengo que realizarla. Como pueden ver empecé tejiendo desde los pies, continué con las piernas y de ahí seguí tejiendo el cuerpo.
🗺️ Tejí con hilos pabilos todo el amigurumi. Estos hilos los pedí recientemente por mercado libre a la señora a quien siempre le compro. Ahora ella hace envío gratis comprando dos docenas de ovillos de 30 gramos aproximadamente por 14$. La calidad del hilo no es la mejor, pero se puede tejer con ellos con tranquilidad.
🗺️ At first I thought of using a base body and adapting it to the characteristics of the character, then I decided to knit it as it came out and that's what I did, I sat down to knit 🧶 and to copy the notes in case I have to make it again. As you can see I started knitting from the feet, continued with the legs and from there I continued knitting the body.
🗺️ I knitted the whole amigurumi with pabilo yarns. I recently ordered these yarns through free market from the lady I always buy from. Now she does free shipping buying two dozen balls of 30 grams approximately for 14$. The yarn quality is not the best, but you can knit with them with peace of mind.
🗺️ Esta Dora, mi versión algo diferente, tiene apariencia de señorita 😃 no pudimos evitar hacer chistes de ella ya que se ve con mucha cadera y la entre piernas separada. Cuando le estaba tejiendo esa parte del cuerpo veía que me quedaba grande, sin embargo no quise destejer y esperar ver el resultado. Es posible que de volver a tejerla haga las correcciones para que el cuerpo parezca más de niña.
🗺️ This Dora, my somewhat different version, looks like a lady 😃 we couldn't help but make jokes about her since she has a lot of hips and her legs are separated. When I was knitting her that part of the body I could see that it was too big for me, however I didn't want to unknit and wait to see the result. It is possible that if I knit it again I will make the corrections so that the body looks more like a girl's body.
🗺️ Hace tiempo que no sacaba un patrón. Empecé a tejer al mediodía y terminé en la tarde del día siguiente, por supuesto que no tejí todas las horas seguidas, pero si tardé algunas horas y al final de la labor me dolía mucho la espalda y la cintura. Se me está haciendo muy incómodo tejer 🧶 sentada, por momentos tengo que acostarme para descansar el cuerpo.
🗺️ Otro elemento que debo corregir en mi próximo amigurumi de Dora es el cabello. Realicé tiras de puntos bajos cuando debí tejer puntos medios altos. Siempre las tejo de puntos bajos, pero sin dejar puntos sin trabajar en la base. Esta vez quise dejar un punto libre sin considerar que la tira tejida con pb no cubriría completamente la cabeza.
🗺️ It's been a long time since I last made a pattern. I started knitting at noon and finished in the afternoon the next day, of course I didn't knit all the hours in a row, but it did take a few hours and at the end of the work my back and waist were really hurting. It is becoming very uncomfortable to knit 🧶 sitting down, at times I have to lie down to rest my body.
🗺️ Another element I need to correct in my next Dora amigurumi is the hair. I knit low stitch strips when I should have knit medium high stitches. I always knit them in low stitches, but without leaving unworked stitches at the base. This time I wanted to leave a free stitch without considering that the strip knitted with bp would not completely cover the head.
🗺️ Me encantó tejer la mochila de Dora. Esta la tejí con puntos altos. Le pegué ojos animados y la boca se la hice con un trocito de foami. Le pedí a mi hermana que imprima varias figuras de los demás personajes y del ambiente donde se desenvuelve Dora para usarlos como stickers. Uno de ellos lo enrollé y lo metí en el bolsillo lateral donde se supone que va el mapa y el resto están dentro de la mochila.
🗺️ I loved knitting Dora's backpack. I knitted this one with high stitches. I glued animated eyes and made the mouth with a small piece of foami. I asked my sister to print several figures of the other characters and the environment where Dora lives to use them as stickers. I rolled one of them up and put it in the side pocket where the map is supposed to go and the rest are inside the backpack.
