Hola amigos. Feliz día para todos. Tenía pendiente elaborar algunos otros modelos de guarda recados para entregar como regalo a mis amigos y familiares en estos días, es por ello que hoy me dediqué a coser los que tenía cortados, pero también saqué este modelo de gallinita que me gustó mucho. Al igual que los anteriores será imantada para fijar en la nevera. Espero que les guste y se animen a elaborar muchas.
Gallina imantada para la nevera.
Tardé un poquito para conseguir las telas ya que en Venezuela al empezar a depositar los bonos de fin de año las madres y amas de casa suelen ir a comprar las telas para confeccionar las ropas para estrenar en navidad. Esto retrasó las compras de mis telas porque las veces que fui a las tiendas estaban muy llenas de personas esperando ser atendidas. Al final resolví con unos retazos de los que disponía al menos para sacar el modelo de la gallinita.
Usé telas de fieltro, hilos de coser, tijeras, aguja de coser, cinta métrica, alfileres, pegamento, moldes de la gallinita que previamente dibujé sobre una hoja blanca. Decoré con lentejuelas y mostacillas. En la parte de atrás de la gallinita coloqué un imán circular pequeño.
Para hacer este bello diseño el primer paso fue traspasar los moldes del papel a las telas. Una vez realizado este paso procedí a sujetar cada pieza con alfileres. Me gusta ver el diseño formado antes de coserlo por si debo hacer alguna corrección. Como lo ví muy bien, lo dejé en pausa algunas horas mientras me ocupaba de hacer el almuerzo y reposar un rato. Luego de ello inicié todas las costuras.
Empecé decorando la parte frontal o la barriguita de la gallinita en donde irán las notas. Lo hice antes de coser todo el proyecto ya que decidí decorar con lentejuelas y mostacillas. También le coloqué unas hojas y flores pequeñas.
Estuve unas cuantas horas decorando y cosiendo toda la pieza porque nunca pude ensartar el hilo de coser en la aguja para mostacillas. Así que lo hice en una aguja normal y corriente por la que solo pasaban algunas mostacillas. Después de un buen rato mi hijo me hizo el favor de colocar el hilo en la aguja para mostacillas y pude terminar más rápidamente. Tengo varias agujas de estas, pero el orificio de todas es demasiado estrecho, evito tener que usarlas.
A las 3 de la tarde abandoné el proyecto y me fui a ver la televisión, disfruté de una película repetida que me gusta mucho. Generalmente no dejo inconcluso un proyecto casi finalizándolo, pero me sentía cansada y los ojos me ardían. Pasadas dos horas continué con la decoración y la colocación del imán.
Como no tengo suficiente telas, la gallinita no tiene relleno. Espero poder comprar pronto las telas que necesito para elaborar dos más y así poder hacer los regalos. El búho y la vaquita ya tienen nuevos dueños. Las regalé hace unos días. Ahora unas amigas me pidieron unos con motivos navideños, así que pronto les traeré las muestras por si desean hacer unos para ustedes.

Hello friends. Happy day to all of you. I had pending to make some other models to give as gifts to my friends and family these days, that's why today I sewed the ones I had cut, but I also took this model of little hen that I liked very much. Like the previous ones, it will be magnetized to fix on the fridge. I hope you like it and I encourage you to make many of them.

It took me a little while to get the fabrics because in Venezuela when the end of the year bonuses are deposited, mothers and housewives usually go to buy the fabrics to make the clothes to wear for Christmas. This delayed the purchase of my fabrics because the times I went to the stores they were very crowded with people waiting to be served. In the end I decided to use the scraps I had to make the hen's model.
I used felt fabrics, sewing threads, scissors, sewing needle, measuring tape, pins, glue, molds of the little hen that I previously drew on a white sheet. I decorated with sequins and beads. On the back of the hen I placed a small circular magnet.
To make this beautiful design the first step was to transfer the molds from the paper to the fabrics. Once this step was done I proceeded to pin each piece together. I like to see the design formed before stitching in case I need to make any corrections. Since I saw it very well, I left it on pause for a few hours while I was busy making lunch and resting for a while. After that I started all the stitching.
I started by decorating the front or belly of the little hen where the notes will go. I did this before sewing the whole project since I decided to decorate with sequins and beads. I also added some leaves and small flowers.
I spent a few hours decorating and sewing the whole piece because I could never thread the sewing thread on the beading needle. So I did it on a regular needle with just a few beads going through it. After a while my son did me the favor of putting the thread on the beading needle and I was able to finish more quickly. I have several of these needles, but the hole on all of them is too narrow, I avoid having to use them.
At 3pm I abandoned the project and went to watch TV, I enjoyed a rerun movie that I really like. I usually don't leave a project unfinished near completion, but I was tired and my eyes were burning. After two hours I continued with decorating and placing the magnet.
As I don't have enough fabrics, the hen has no stuffing. I hope to be able to buy the fabrics I need soon to make two more so I can make the gifts. The owl and the cow have new owners. I gave them as gifts a few days ago. Now some friends have asked me for some with Christmas motifs, so soon I will bring you the samples if you want to make some for yourselves.
