Hola amigos. Espero que estén muy bien. Yo por aquí paso a compartirles mi más reciente creación. Siempre pensé que el primer elefante que tejería sería a Dumbo. Sentí deseos de tejer y tomé unos de los ovillos de hilos que me regaló mi hijo. No quería usarlos, pero hace tiempo que no compro hilos y decidí usar ese. Elegí tejer un elefante porque es todo de un solo color y estaba casi segura de que el hilo me alcanzaría.
Además del hilo de algodón color gris suave también necesité la aguja de 3,25mm, la aguja lanera, tijeras, ojos plásticos, algodón para rellenar, un poco de hilo pabilo color blanco y un pedacito de limpia pipas.
Hello friends. I hope you are doing well. I'm here to share with you my most recent creation. I always thought that the first elephant I would knit would be Dumbo. I felt like knitting and took some of the balls of yarn my son gave me. I didn't want to use them, but I haven't bought yarn in a while and decided to use that one. I chose to knit an elephant because it's all one color and I was pretty sure the yarn would fit.
In addition to the soft gray cotton yarn I also needed the 3.25mm needle, the wool needle, scissors, plastic eyes, cotton for stuffing, some white wick yarn and a piece of pipe cleaner.
Me encantó tejer este elefante, es un diseño sencillo y fácil de tejer. El hilo es grueso y por eso el elefante terminó midiendo 18 cm de alto. Lo empecé tejiendo la cabeza, seguidamente el cuerpo. En esa ranura que se puede ver en el tejido tejí la trompa.

Tardé bastante tiempo en tejerlo ya que el dolor en mi mano derecha no cesa. Así que he ido tejiendo poco por horas, reposo y luego vuelvo a tejer. Todo el elefante está tejido con puntos bajos. En la trompa coloqué el limpia pipas con un poquito de algodón. Lleva bastante algodón en la cabeza.

Los ojos se los fijé con pegamento 😃 un poquito de silicón frío. Estos ojos son grandes, de los que aún me quedan muchos en mi estuche. Tejo poco amigurumis grandes, así que me quedan suficientes para pegar en unos cuantos elefantes más, lo malo es que el hilo que me quedó no alcanzará para tejer otro. Se teje divino con hilos gruesos. Estos hilos no los venden aquí en la ciudad es por eso que he tardado mucho en usarlos, por el temor de iniciar un proyecto y que luego no me alcance el hilo.
I fixed the eyes with glue 😃 a little bit of cold silicone. These eyes are big, of which I still have many left in my case. I knit few big amigurumis, so I have enough left to glue on a few more elephants, the bad thing is that the yarn I have left won't be enough to knit another one. It's beautiful to knit with thick yarns. These yarns are not sold here in the city, that's why I've taken so long to use them, for fear of starting a project and then not having enough yarn.
Con el hilo pabilo color blanco tejí los colmillos del elefante. Sus cuatro patas fueron tejidas con la misma secuencia de puntos. Por detrás le hice una colita de solo una cadena de 12 puntos y sobre ellos 11 puntos deslizados. Como les dije es un elefante 🐘 sencillo y fácil de tejer. En otra oportunidad tejeré a Dumbo. Espero que les guste y se animen a tejer su primer elefante sino lo han hecho.
