La verdad es que he estado concentrada en mis asuntos familiares, atendiendo la casa, tejiendo, sobrellevando la economía y otras responsabilidades que me mantienen ocupada. Sin embargo, siento que ya pronto será navidad 🎄 y debo preparar regalos para mi nieta y algunos otros para vender (ojalá).
Hello dear friends, happy Monday to all of you. This year 2025 is going by so fast, I feel like I'm not enjoying it very much, I don't have time to do everything I want to do during the day. Is it the same for you? It's the middle of the year! Almost. 😌
The truth is that I've been concentrating on my family matters, taking care of the house, knitting, coping with the economy and other responsibilities that keep me busy. However, I feel that it will be Christmas soon 🎄 and I must prepare gifts for my granddaughter and some others to sell (hopefully).
Aprovechando que en la bodega volvieron a traer hilos pabilos súper delgados decidí ir comprando algunos ovillos para comenzar con un proyecto grande y bonito. Confieso que siempre he querido hacer este tipo de creaciones, pero me he frenado por no tener los hilos disponibles. Tomé la determinación de hacerlos con los hilos que puedo comprar y ya empecé. Es un proyecto para mi satisfacción personal, pero con aspiraciones de venderlos, no sin antes apartar uno de ellos para mi nieta.
Estos cuerpos bases que verán a continuación son creaciones de otros tejedores, los cuales he aprovechado para recrear algunos personajes en el futuro. Quiero tejerlos para visualizar el tamaño final, conocer la cantidad de hilos que ocupan y el resultado final. Saben que tejer con pabilo es es un poco cansón porque es un hilo rústico, especialmente estos ovillos que venden en las bodegas, son de color crudo la mayoría de ellos, aunque una vez conseguí de color blanco 🤍 y grueso. Con los que compré blancos tejí bolsos, quedaron geniales.
Taking advantage of the fact that the warehouse brought back super thin wick yarns, I decided to buy some balls of yarn to start a big and beautiful project. I confess that I have always wanted to make this kind of creations, but I have been held back by not having the yarns available. I decided to make them with the yarns I can buy and I have already started. It is a project for my personal satisfaction, but with aspirations to sell them, but not before setting aside one of them for my granddaughter.
These base bodies that you will see below are creations of other knitters, which I have taken advantage of to recreate some characters in the future. I want to knit them to visualize the final size, to know the amount of yarns they occupy and the final result. You know that weaving with wick is a bit tiring because it is a rustic yarn, especially these balls that are sold in warehouses, most of them are ecru, although once I got white 🤍 and thick. With the white ones I bought I knitted bags, they turned out great.
Me gusta el color de este pabilo para hacer el cuerpo y cabeza de los amigurumis. Lo malo es que el hilo no es de buena calidad, en partes tiene hebras un poco gruesas y esponjosas. Es un hilo económico en comparación con los hilos pabilos de colores. Para mi proyecto estaré usando de ambas calidades y de diferentes colores.
Elegí un patrón bien fácil para hacer los cuerpos bases grandes. No estaba muy segura de hacerle el cuello largo, pero siempre hay que atreverse y probar. Tejiendo este tipo de cuellos me ahorré colocar un trozo de silicón o los alambres para que el cuello quedara firme.
I like the color of this wick to make the body and head of the amigurumis. The bad thing is that the yarn is not of good quality, in parts it has a little thick and fluffy strands. It is an inexpensive yarn compared to the colored wick yarns. For my project I will be using both qualities and different colors.
I chose a very easy pattern to make the large base bodies. I wasn't sure about making the collar long, but you always have to dare and try. By knitting this type of collar I was able to save myself from placing a piece of silicone or the wires to hold the collar in place.
A los cuerpos pequeños les coloqué ya el cabello porque esos son para exhibir más pronto que los grandes. La verdad es que ando muy emocionada tejiéndolos. Voy paso a paso, ya no tejo con desespero porque me duele todo mi hermoso cuerpo después, hay que cuidarse 😃
No estoy segura cuantos cuerpos estaré tejiendo, pero si tengo claro cuáles personajes podría estar recreando en cada cuerpo. Me animé a tejerlos porque recordé a una de las compañeras tejedoras que compartía por aquí por la comunidad sus creaciones, ella mostró los cuerpos bases de unas muñecas que iba a tejer 🧶 y eso me emocionó mucho. Al final creo que ella nos contó que no logró continuar el proyecto.
I have already put the hair on the small bodies because those are to be exhibited sooner than the big ones. The truth is that I am very excited about knitting them. I'm going step by step, I'm not knitting with desperation anymore because my beautiful body hurts afterwards, you have to take care of yourself 😃.
I'm not sure how many bodies I'll be knitting, but I am clear which characters I might be recreating in each body. I was encouraged to knit them because I remembered one of the fellow knitters who shared her creations here in the community, she showed the base bodies of some dolls she was going to knit 🧶 and that made me very excited. At the end I think she told us that she didn't manage to continue the project.
También me emociona tejer amigurumis de nuevo porque ya tengo una buena cantidad de ojos de seguridad de diferentes tamaños, todos o su mayoría son negros, me serán muy útiles. ¿Tienen alguna idea de los personajes que quiero recrear en estos cuerpos? I'm also excited to knit amigurumis again because I already have a good amount of safety eyes of different sizes, all or mostly black, they will come in handy.
