Hola, hola. ¿Cómo están por aquí? Feliz Navidad para todos. Luego de unas horas de fraterno compartir he vuelto a mi mesa de trabajo. Mi intención era organizar un poco y verificar cuánto material tengo disponible. Pero encontré varios retazos de fieltro en una de mis cestas y me dieron ganas de crear. Este diseño lo ví hace pocos días en el árbol de una de mis vecinas. Me gustó y ahora quise realizarlo para aprovechar estos restos de tela. No se usa casi nada de material.

Hello, hello. How are you all doing here? Merry Christmas to all. After a few hours of fraternal sharing I have returned to my desk. My intention was to organize a bit and check how much material I have available. But I found some scraps of felt in one of my baskets and I felt like creating. I saw this design a few days ago on the tree of one of my neighbors. I liked it and now I wanted to make it to take advantage of these fabric scraps. Almost no material is used.

Hoy todos los niños de mi país están contentos jugando y disfrutando de los regalos que les trajo el niño Jesús. La tradición consiste en que los niños se van a dormir con la ilusión de que al despertar el 25 ya el niño esté en el pesebre y haya traído muchos regalos. Es un momento que yo anhelo, sin embargo este año no pude estar presente ni para ver a mi nieta abrirlos ni a mis sobrinos. Espero que para la próxima navidad sí sea posible.

Ahora déjenme explicarles brevemente cómo realicé este adorno tan bonito con muy poquito material. Es posible que lo utilice en mi proyecto final para el concurso de fin de año promovido por la comunidad.

Today all the children in my country are happy playing and enjoying the gifts that the baby Jesus brought them. The tradition is that the children go to sleep with the illusion that when they wake up on the 25th the child is already in the manger and has brought many gifts. It is a moment that I long for, but this year I was not able to be present to see my granddaughter open them or my nephews and nieces. I hope that next Christmas it will be possible.

Now let me explain briefly how I made this beautiful ornament with very little material. I may use it in my final project for the year-end contest promoted by the community.

Los materiales que usé son: retazos de fieltro, hilo y aguja de coser, mostacilla negra, aguja para coser mostacilla, hilo dorado, tijeras y el diseño del proyecto. En este caso es una bola o esfera de navidad.

The materials I used are: scraps of felt, thread and sewing needle, black mustard, needle for sewing mustard, gold thread, scissors and the design of the project. In this case it is a Christmas ball or sphere.

Desde la madrugada del 24 ha estado lloviendo muchísimo. Para la hora que realicé y redacté mi proyecto estaba aún cayendo un aguacero, por lo que he pasado todo el día extrañando ver a Sofia. Ella está con sus otros abuelos disfrutando de sus regalos. Espero que mañana no haga tiempo de lluvia para ir a visitarla. Está hermosa, el 14 cumplió 3 años y ya habla casi perfecto.

Realizar el proyecto es muy sencillo. Si desean tomen nota. Se hace súper fácil. Claro hay que tener paciencia para coser cada piecita.

Since the early morning of the 24th it has been raining heavily. By the time I did and wrote my project it was still pouring, so I have spent the whole day missing Sofia. She is with her other grandparents enjoying their presents. I'm hoping tomorrow won't be rainy weather so I can go visit her. Dibujamos sobre la tela de fieltro cada una de las piezas que tendrá el proyecto para luego recortarlas.

COSER PIEZA POR PIEZA.

Cosemos cada una de las piezas donde corresponda. La virgen María, José y el Niño. Con la mostacilla hacemos los ojitos. Bordamos la orilla de la esfera y cosemos el colgante.

SEW PIECE BY PIECE.

We sew each of the pieces where it corresponds. The Virgin Mary, Joseph and the Child. We make the little eyes with the mustard. Embroider the edge of the sphere and sew the pendant.

LISTO NUESTRO ADORNO DE NAVIDAD.

Una vez cosidas todas las piezas colocamos un colgante con hilo dorado y ya estará listo para usarse.

Once all the pieces are sewn together we place a pendant with golden thread and it will be ready to use.

Lo veo muy lindo. Lo dejaré colgado en la pared hasta el momento de usarlo en mi otro proyecto decorativo. Es una excelente manera de aprovechar esos poquitos de telas que nos van quedando. Las podemos hacer más pequeñas también.

It looks very nice. I'll leave it hanging on the wall until it's time to use it in my other decorative project. It's a great way to use up those little bits of fabric that we have left over. We can make them smaller too.
