Hola amigos, feliz día para todos. Con la novedad de que en Venezuela ha habido diluvios. Muchas ciudades, pueblos y caseríos se encuentran ahorita bajo las aguas; se han desbordado ríos y caños. Muchísimas personas han tenido que dormir ya varias noches con el agua dentro de sus casas. A Dios gracia acá donde vivo no hay ocurrido desastre, sin embargo no ha dejado de llover y habemos muchos hogares cuyos techos están deteriorados, rogando siempre que puedan mantenerse sujetados y que no pase a mayores. Por lo demás, yo me he pasado estos días reflexionando, orando y tejiendo.
Hoy les voy a mostrar en imágenes el proceso que seguí para elaborar la primera vaca que tejo de pie. Antes había tejido vaquitas sentadas, pero nunca una de pie. Quería tejerla con chenille, pero no he podido comprar los colores que me hacen falta. Así que quise probar con hilo de algodón y me gustó el resultado.
Para tejerla usé los hilos pabilos, un gancho de crochet de 2,25mm, tijeras, aguja lanera, ojos de seguridad, algodón sintético y me guié por un patrón que la verdad no recuerdo de dónde lo obtuve, pero se puede leer el arroba clubdelamigurumista en una de las fotos.
Hello friends, happy day to all. With the news that in Venezuela there have been floods. Many cities, towns and villages are now under water; rivers and streams have overflowed. Many people have had to sleep several nights with the water inside their houses. Thank God here where I live there has been no disaster, however it has not stopped raining and there are many homes whose roofs are deteriorated, always praying that they can stay fastened and that it does not happen to a greater extent. As for the rest, I have spent these days reflecting, praying and knitting.
Today I am going to show you in pictures the process I followed to make the first cow that I knit standing up. I had knitted seated cows before, but they were never standing. I wanted to knit it with chenille, but I have not been able to buy the colors I need. So I wanted to try with cotton yarn and I liked the result.
To knit it I used the pabilos yarn, a 2.25mm crochet hook, scissors, wool needle, safety eyes, synthetic cotton and I was guided by a pattern that I don't really remember where I got it from, but you can read the clubdelamigurumista arroba in one of the photos.
Aproveché unos poquitos de hilos color beige claro y más oscuro para hacer el cuerpo, brazos, piernas y parte de la cabeza de la vaca. También usé hilo marrón, estos hilos fueron combinados mediante la técnica tapestry para lograr el detalle del color de la cabeza de la vaca.
Con el hilo marrón tejí la nariz de la vaca, al lado de esta naricita coloqué los ojos de seguridad. Realicé todo este procedimiento antes de tejer las últimas vueltas de la cabeza. El hilo que usé para tejer es un pabilo no muy trabajador, es un poco áspero y rústico.
I used some light and darker beige yarns to make the body, arms, legs and part of the cow's head. I also used brown yarn, these yarns were combined using the tapestry technique to achieve the detail of the color of the cow's head.
With the brown yarn I knitted the cow's nose, next to this nose I placed the safety eyes. I did all this procedure before knitting the last turns of the head. The yarn I used for weaving is a not very hard working wick, it is a little rough and rustic.
Me encantan estos diseños de tejidos de amigurumis en los que se empieza por las piernas, a este se le cosen los brazos aparte, pero es sencillo. Uní la cabeza con el cuerpo para ir viendo la figura de la vaca 🐮.
I love these amigurumi knitting designs where you start with the legs, this one has the arms sewn on separately, but it's simple. I joined the head with the body to go see the figure of the cow 🐮.
Luego tejí los brazos, las orejas y los cachos. Me encantó tejer esta vaca, pero les confieso que pasé toda la tarde y parte de la noche. A veces, pocas veces, el tejido no me distrae y hago descansos para luego volver más concentrada. En las pausas seco el piso de mi casa 🏡 ya que con la lluvia el agua se pasa por los agujeros del techo 🙉.
En general, me gustó mucho el diseño. Espero poder salir pronto a comprar el chenille porque quiero hacerla más grande con ese tipo de material. La diseñadora de esta vaca le colocó una carterita en forma de galleta, se la haré a la versión en chenille cuando la teja.
Then I knitted the arms, the ears and the horns. I loved knitting this cow, but I confess that I spent all afternoon and part of the night. Sometimes, rarely, knitting doesn't distract me and I take breaks and then come back more concentrated. In the breaks I dry the floor of my house 🏡 as with the rain the water goes through the holes in the roof 🙉.
Overall, I really liked the design. I hope I can go out soon to buy the chenille because I want to make it bigger with that type of material. The designer of this cow put a little cookie cutter on it, I will do that to the chenille version when I knit it.
Unir todas las partes es algo que me encanta de todo el proceso, aunque sigo aprendiendo para que las costuras se vena uniformes y bonitas. ¿Qué les parece mi primera vaca de pie tejida con hilo de algodón?
Últimamente muchísimas crocheteras se están dedicando a tejer con chenille, tiene más demanda que lo tejido con algodón o estambre. Por donde vivo no compran estos productos, aún así seguiré tejiendo para compartirles a ustedes y así también de alguna manera reponer el gasto en insumos 😃 con lo obtenido en las recompensas 🙏🏼
Joining all the parts together is something I love about the whole process, although I'm still learning how to make the seams look nice and even. What do you think of my first standing cow knitted with cotton yarn?
Lately many crocheters are knitting with chenille, it is more in demand than knitting with cotton or worsted yarn. Where I live they don't buy these products, even so I will continue knitting to share with you and also somehow replenish the cost of supplies 😃 with the proceeds from the rewards 🙏🏼
