Happy Monday Needle workers.
I hope your weekend went well.
Well mine did and I'm so happy i had a fun filled weekend.
I'd made a beautiful dress for my birthday last year but I never wore it to church.
I never had a headwear to use and i didn't want something regular so I decided to make a headwear for my self
Most people call it a fascinator so I'd go with that.
I wanted something simple but beautiful for i opted for black because it goes with my dress.
These are the stuff I used for my fascinator
1:A buckram( this is for structure,i placed my fabric on this)
2:1 yard of bridal satin
3:1½ yard of boning
4: feathers
5: ready made flowers
6: beads
7:Bais strip
8 Gum
9:A head band
I went ahead to cover my buckram with the bridal satin fabric, then I sewed my satin fabric as a cover for my boning,i covered the edges of the cap with a bais strip , I made sure to get a shiny one.
I attached my boning to the cap by sewing it with a thread and needle
I proceeded to putting my feathers and flowers together and attaching it to my cap .
I finished off by applying some beads to it and attaching the head band .
The head band is detachable,i left a small space under the hat so that I can fix the head band when I want.
Here's the finished work and how i rocked it to church with my dress.
Please I'd love your comments about it ☺️
How does it look?
Thank you everyone for reading through.
Do have a lovely week ahead.
