What can I do just to help her actually the dress those not take me 2hours achieve considered that it does not have a Zipper and Lining
Measurement required;
Length
Bust
Waist
Hip
Shoulder/ back
Sleeve
Processing of cutting and sewing
add your horizontal measurement
Then I add desire neckline to the dress. After that I Come down by 1.5inches from the shoulder slope then input my vertical measurements of the dress and add 3inches to bust waist and hip area for easy wearing because there was no zipper at the back And also add 1inches for seam allowances
Short details on how to cut a trumpet sleeves
I do love thus sleeve whenever I am make simple gown it really beautiful the dress if the styles you work with is simple i do use sleeves to compliment dress to make it elange little bite. Thus the the fabric given to me was not enough to show the beauty of the sleeves.
Let me show you the pattern of trumpet/ bell sleeves
I use 2yard Kampala fabric Dress so the sleeves is not giving me what I want
Firstly I rule out the starting line and from the starting point I come down by 3inches then rule a straight line that is the armhole line also from the starting line I come down by 8inches that where I want the A-line of the sleeves to start from so if you are making this sleeves for your customer may sure you measure where you want the A-line to start from yours may be elbow area, from starting line mark out the direct length sleeves
To get you accurate armholes divide your bust by 6 and add 1.5inche example bust 36 divide 6 it give me 6+1.5=7.5 that is the armhole am working with. From second line l draw out I input 7.5 from the edge I make a cave down to 7.5 like S shape then put in the round sleeves on third line plus 1.5 for easy and 1 inch for Seam allow for that line I draw the A-line.
Take it to sewing machine face the front and back neck joined the shoulder together shape the sides and fix in sleeves and the down part the dress ready to ware.
Thank so much for your time, support, comment.
