Hello everyone
Greetings to all my NEEDLEWORK FAMILY, hope You had a lovely night rest , it’s the dawn of another blessed
Today I will share with you little ideas for to cut and sew a coke neck gown. I made this cowl neck gown for my clients and this is the fifth dress am making for her, we met at church she always Admire my dresses one day she walk up to me and ask who always make my dress for me , I smile at her and told her am the maker of the my dresses😂😂😂 I don’t have the talent of advertising skills telling people am fashion designer come and sew from me but whenever I sew clothes for my customers with that it’s advertise my work,Developing a strong work ethic, continually learning new skills, and being open to feedback are essential for growth
When we were growing up as kids there are all kinda of people asking us what career we want to pursue. I didn’t bother so much about this then but felt like doing my best in whatever it is that I do.
Once you get a good workspace just put in your best at whatever you do and it becomes easy to advertise your skill to people. Continue to Do the best you can until you get to know it better.
Cutting process
Firstly I drafted out the back bodies measurement on the fabric actually it was a long gown, I don’t want the back to have half cutting it only at front side after cutting out the back then I draft out of the front part from shoulder to the waist length on a pattern paper .
Making cowl neck dress may be simple and a little technique but Best way to achieve this when you make use of pattern drafting.
I use slash and spread method and I make a cut from chest circumstances although the end of armholes area spread it on already folded fabric it depends on how you want your cowl neck to be effective I mine I make use 7inches I don’t want the neck area to be too open. Then cut the remaining part for the front with the sleeves.
slash and spread method
***Stitching process ***
I turn the front and back neck with the same material join the shoulder together shape the dress and fix in the sleeves and zipper at the back of the gown.
I really want to appreciate your comments and word of encouragement it keeps me going thank you so much I love you all💕💕💕
