I am an Industrial Maintenance Engineer, in my free time I like to sew, design and create. Although I am not a professional in the field of sewing, it has actually become a hobby and a way to grow little by little in this wonderful area of sewing, which I love and respect. Today I want to show you the elaboration of a nice cosmetic bag, I hope you like it and above all to be able to learn from this community.
Materials Used:
Half a meter of red suede fabric.
Half a meter of gray fabric
Filling
Red and gray thread
PROCEDURE:
Step 1:
These are the measurements needed to construct the bag:
4 pieces must be created from the piece measuring 9.5 x 5.5 inches, (2 pieces from the red fabric and two from the gray fabric).
2 pieces of the piece that measures 4 x 3 inches, (in red fabric)
4 pieces of the rectangles measuring 10 x 4 inches (3 in red fabric and one in gray fabric).
4 pieces of the figure measuring 2.5 x 5.5 inches, (in red fabric)
2 pieces of the rectangle 1.5 x 2 inches (in red fabric)
Transfer these patterns to the fabric according to the base models of the bag design.
Step 2
Then fill the gray fabric measuring 9.5 x 5.5 inches, place it on its gray replica and pass it to the sewing machine.
Step 3
On the material I made a pattern of lines in the form of "V", so that I followed the path of these lines by placing the presser foot on them and in turn sewing the material.
The pockets are also sewn, as you can see in the second image on the right side of the collage.
Step 4
Then join the base of the bag, which is formed by one of the rectangles measuring 10 x 4, to the sides of the bag.
Step 5
To sew the zipper, one of the rectangles is also used and it should be cut in half along the length of the material, so that when sewing the zipper, first sew a right side and then a left side.
Step 6
The fasteners are then sewn, folded in half and then flipped over and pinned to the center and end edges of the zipper area.
Step 7
Then sew the edge area of the bag, and sew backwards on the bag.
Step 8
Turn the material inside out to sew the zipper on both sides of the bag and the edge of the bag.
The only thing left to do is to turn the bag inside out, this is how this beautiful bag has been designed and created. I hope you like it.

Mi nombre es Licerlys Obando, vivo en Venezuela. Soy ingeniero de Mantenimiento Industrial, en mi tiempo libre me gusta coser, diseñar y crear. Aunque no soy una profesional en el campo de la costura, en realidad se ha convertido en un pasatiempo y una forma de poder crecer poco a poco en esta maravillosa área que la costura, que amo y respeto. Hoy quiero mostrarles la elaboración de un bonito bolso porta-cosméticos, espero les guste y sobre todo poder aprender de esta comunidad.
Materiales Utilizados:
- Medio Metro de Tela de gamuza roja
- Medio metro de tela gris
- Relleno
- Hilo rojo y gris
PROCEDIMIENTO
Primer Paso
Estas son las medidas necesarias para construir el bolso:
Se deben crear 4 piezas de la pieza que mide 9,5 x 5,5 pulgadas. (2 piezas de la tela roja y dos de la tela gris)
2 piezas de la pieza que mide 4 x 3 pulgadas, (en tela roja)
4 piezas de los rectángulos que miden 10 x 4 pulgadas . (3 en tela roja y una en tela gris)
4 piezas de la figura que mide 2,5 x 5,5 pulgadas (en tela roja)
2 piezas del rectángulo 1,5 x 2 pulgadas (en tela roja)
Se traspasa esos patrones a la tela de acuerdo a lo pedido por los modelos base del diseño del bolsito.
Paso 2
Luego se rellena la tela gris que mide 9,5 x 5,5 pulgadas, se coloca sobre su replica en color gris tambien y se pasa a la maquina de coser.
Paso 3
sobre el material realicé un modelo de lineas en forma de "V", de tal manera que seguí con el recorrido de esas lineas colocando el prensatelas sobre estas y a su vez cosiendo el material.
También se cose la parte de los bolsillos, como se puede apreciar en la segunda imagen derecha del collage.
Paso 4
Luego se une la base del bolso que es la que esta formada por un de los rectángulos que mide 10 x 4 a las caras del bolsito.
Paso 5
Para coser el cierre se utiliza también uno de los rectángulos y este debe ser cortado a la mitad a lo largo del material, para que al momento de coser el cierre primero se cosa un lado derecho y luego un lado izquierdo.
Paso 6
Luego se cosen los sujetadores, estos se doblan a la mitad y luego se voltean para posteriormente fijarlos sobre los bordes centrales y finales de la zona del cierre.
Paso 7
Luego se cose el area del borde del bolso, y se cose de forma revés en el bolso.
Paso 8
Se voltea el material del lado revés para coser el cierre a ambas caras del bolso y del borde de este.
Ya solo queda voltear el bolso del lado contrario.De esta manera se ha diseñado y creado este lindo bolso.
