Today I will be showing you how I made a swear top and short nicker.
Actually this style is two different pieces,which are colour black and ficial pink.
Sweat shirt are worn to put the body warm especially during winter,it can also be worn for athletic activities.
MEASUREMENT
The two sweat top is own by same person,so I will be using same measurement for the two.
TOP
Length:29 shoulder:20 sleeve:26 chest:32 lower chest: 30 neck len:18
SHORT NICKER
Len: 19 Waist:34 Hip:32 Lap/Thigh:23
ILLUSTRATION
The cutting of the black short nicker using the measurement above.
I have my black material which will be cut in four piece two at the front and two for the back.
So the material will be hold into two segments and the cut of the front layer will come first.
Now I will sketch out the nicker using the measurement above,the length will be my first sketch.
The waist divided by 4
34/4=8.5
Hip divided by 4
32/4=8
Thigh divided by 2
23/2=11.5
Then I cut out the sketched front layer and placed it on the second layer.
adding 1.5 inches is needed for the back layer for allowance while sewing.
THE SEWING PROCESS
The pocket is the for first thing to do when sewing the short nicker so i fix the pocket with the space of 6.5.
The pocket will be attach to the front layer.
Having sewn the pocket the back will be placed on the front layer and will be sewn with the measurement of 1/2 an inch precisely.
Given the waist measurement which is 34 is measured and sewn precisely.
The waist band is next in line and I have here my elastic band which is going to enable the waist to be free and also the nicker lace.

The top will be sketched out and cut by using the measurement that is has been given above.
Length:29 is constant
shoulder:20/2=10
sleeve:26 is constant
chest:32/4=8 plus1.5 inch which is the sewing allowance
lower chest: 30/4=7.5 plus 1.5 inch for allowance
neck len:18 is constant
SEWING ILLUSTRATION
Joining the back interface with the two pieces which make up the top is the first in line.
The sleeve to the arm using a curve form of sewing,the stretchy part of the material will be used for the ankle for easy access when wearing the cloth.
Assembling of the two piece the front and the back together,To do so the chest and lower chest measurement is needed.
The lower part of the top will be stretchy,so i am going to cut that part a diagonal cut and join to the lower part of the top.
