Needlework Your Barbie Contest ! / Barbie chef [ESP|ENG]

Un saludo mi querida comunidad @NeedleWorkMonday feliz día 💜 Las Barbie que están en casa y que aun se conservan muy bien, prácticamente son una reliquia cargada de muchos recuerdos de la infancia de mi hija que con 25 años las guarda como su mayor tesoro. Desde hace días me encontré con este hermoso concurso propuesto por la comunidad que solo se hace cada año y que en realidad es todo un reto elaborar prendas de vestir tan pequeñas y hacer de ella una profesión, por eso esta vez no quise dejar pasar la oportunidad y me sentí muy animada en participar en tan divertido concurso que prácticamente por un rato me devuelve a mi niñez y a esa etapa donde me encantaba jugar y vestir mis muñecas. Primeramente le pedí una de sus muñecas prestada y también algunas de sus ropas que me sirvieran como referencia para elaborar el molde o patrón de este lindo diseño que confeccione para esta Barbie chef, fue toda una odisea que es imposible coser a maquina y no tuve otra opción que usar agujas para coser a mano, pero igual todo el proceso me lo disfrute muchísimo

Greetings my dear community @NeedleWorkMonday happy day 💜 The Barbie's that are at home and are still very well preserved, they are practically a relic loaded with many childhood memories of my daughter who with 25 years old keeps them as her greatest treasure. A few days ago I came across this beautiful contest proposed by the community that is only done every year and it is really a challenge to make such small clothes and make it a profession, so this time I did not want to miss the opportunity and I felt very encouraged to participate in this fun contest that practically for a while takes me back to my childhood and that stage where I loved to play and dress my dolls. First I asked her to borrow one of her dolls and also some of her clothes to serve as a reference to make the mold or pattern of this cute design that I made for this Barbie chef, it was quite an odyssey because it is impossible to sew by machine and I had no choice but to use needles to sew by hand, but I still enjoyed the whole process very much.

Este proyecto me pareció super divertido elaborar cada pieza hasta de esta hermosa profesión como es un chef. primeramente corte todas las piezas necesarias para elaborar este uniforme, para la chaqueta que es muy característica, utilice una blusa de la barbie por la pude tener de guía para obtener las medidas exactas con respecto a la parte delantera y de taras de la chaqueta como también el borde de la sisa y las mangas, que para mi era la parte mas difícil de todo el proceso. El gorro fue un poco mas fácil sus piezas ya que consta de una pieza redonda de la cual me apoye en la circunferencia de la tapa de un frasco y por ultimo el pantalón es un estilo bien sencillo con elástica en la pretina y no necesita mucho detalle para elaborar su patrón

This project seemed to me super fun to make each piece even of this beautiful profession as a chef. first cut all the pieces needed to make this uniform, for the jacket that is very characteristic, I used a blouse of the barbie for I could have it as a guide to get the exact measurements regarding the front and the front of the jacket as well as the edge of the armhole and sleeves, which for me was the most difficult part of the whole process. The hat was a little easier to make the pieces since it consists of a round piece which I used the circumference of the lid of a bottle and finally the pants is a very simple style with elastic at the waistband and does not need much detail to make the pattern.

Ahora comienza la parte mas compleja que es coser todas las mini piezas. En este caso inicie por lo que siempre me pareció con un poco mas de complejidad por los detalles, de igual manera como lo hago cuando elaboro blusas comencé uniendo por los hombros y seguidamente cosí las mangas, abriéndolas y haciendo coincidir con la sisa, después cerré con costura por ambos costados y ya practicante tenia mi chaqueta casi lista. Luego con la tela de raya corte una tira la cual coloque por el borde para hacer un elegante cuello cruzado. Para poder abrir y cerrar la chaqueta le coloque un cierre mágico y la parte que me pareció mas graciosa fue buscar unos botones de un tamaño diminuto, definitivamente no tuve otra opción que colocar unas perlas planas en color rosa para simular los botones que son un detalle primordial en el diseño de esta chaqueta

Now begins the most complex part which is to sew all the mini pieces. In this case I started with what always seemed to me with a little more complexity for the details, in the same way as I do when I make blouses I started by joining the shoulders and then sewed the sleeves, opening them and matching the armhole, then I closed with sewing on both sides and now I had my jacket almost ready. Then with the stripe fabric I cut a strip which I placed along the edge to make an elegant crossed collar. To be able to open and close the jacket I placed a magic zipper and the part that I found funniest was to look for buttons of a tiny size, I definitely had no choice but to place some flat pearls in pink to simulate the buttons that are an essential detail in the design of this jacket.

La siguiente pieza es el pantalón el cual vamos a unir y coser por los tiros para luego coser las entrepiernas. En la pretina vamos hacer un pequeño doblez tomando como referencia el ancho de la elástica para luego poder introducirla y arruchar todo el contorno de la pretina y de esta manera ajustar el pantalón a la cintura

The next piece is the pants which we are going to join and sew along the straps and then sew the crotch. On the waistband we are going to make a small fold taking the width of the elastic as a reference so that we can introduce it and tuck it all around the waistband and in this way adjust the pants to the waist.

El gorro aunque es la pieza mas coqueta y también representativa de esta profesión, es bien fácil solo cortamos un circulo y una tira, tomando como referencia el contorno de la cabeza de la muñeca. Hacemos una costura floja por todo el borde del circulo para después halar y arruchar. seguidamente por todo borde por donde arruchamos vamos a coser la banda y por ultimo para decorar le coloque un lazo en cinta de tela por un costado

The cap is the most flirtatious and representative piece of this profession, it is very easy, just cut a circle and a strip, taking as a reference the contour of the doll's head. We make a loose seam around the edge of the circle to then pull and tuck. then along the edge where we tucked we will sew the band and finally to decorate I put a bow in fabric ribbon on one side.

Ahora si Listo!!! ya culminamos con este hermoso proyecto como fue confeccionar una prenda de vestir esta vez nada mas y nada menos que para Barbie y convertirla en toda una chef. Quede enamorada de el resultado y ni se imaginan la dueña de esta muñeca. Me encanto participar en este lindo concurso ademas me disfrute mucho todo el proceso tenia bastante por no decir muchísimo tiempo sin jugar muñecas y gracias a ustedes retrocedí por un momento el tiempo y me traslade a mi infancia. Espero le guste mi proyecto que con mucho cariño comparto con todos ustedes.

Now we are done with this beautiful project as it was to make a garment this time nothing more and nothing less than for Barbie and turn her into a chef. I fell in love with the result and you can't even imagine the owner of this doll. I loved participating in this beautiful contest and I really enjoyed the whole process I had a long time without playing dolls and thanks to you I went back in time for a moment and I went back to my childhood.
