Got my tools ready for a great year ahead. Here are some of my top goals in the sewing/knitting department.
- Finish at least 1 WIP for every new project started.
- Find ways to use my stash of scraps, buttons, and trims in useful or profitable ways.
- Learn to use all the features on my machines that I have not yet made time to learn.
- Restore my vintage Kenmore to full function and look for more machines to refurbish.
I already started on number one by getting the batting and fiberfill to finish a crib quilt and some stuffed dolls I cut out ages ago.
For number 2, I plan to start with the lace/tulle scraps and start making fascinators and veils to hawk on Etsy or at the local bridal salon.
For number 3, my serger is back from a tune-up and I will be going through a book to learn to flatlock and to make the perfect rolled hem.
As for number 4, I just need to keep oiling and heating until the remaining frozen parts loosen up. Every treatment restores a bit more function to the machine.
So, I have goals and a plan.
