Hi, today I bring you the underwear or Boxer molds. As always, the sizes are in different colors, the one that I am going to do is size Xl.
As always, they should add the seam allowance, which is 1.0 cm to the entire contour.
They can add the seam allowance to the paper mold or on the fabric, I do it directly on the fabric.
To cut the reinforcement, what they can do is the following, separate it from the front mold and cut it separately, or as I do, I measure it all together and then separate it.
This is what I mean when I say I put it all together.
This is how the front part and the reinforcement would look, in this case the reinforcement is made of two halves, that happens because the fabric stretched in a certain way and it was impossible for me to cut it in another way.
They have to cut two reinforcements, as seen in the picture.
Well, now what you have to do is sew the two reinforcements facing one of the sides of the front part, it is very similar to making the panties, only in this case it is a longer reinforcement. In the image it would be the "seam" that is in the middle.
This is how the front would look if it were seen from the "right" part of the fabric.
Once we have one of the front sides, we have to do the other side, in this image only "secure with thread" as one of the reinforcements would have to be put on the free side of the other half of the front.
As in the manufacture of the panties, the reinforcement that is "free" must wrap the entire half of the front and sew together. In this image you can see how it would have to be to be able to sew.
When you finish joining all the reinforcements, when they turn the front part it has to be like this, where the seams are trapped between the fabrics.
Then we sew the back part to the front, as seen in the image. I had to use two different colors because I no longer had the same color fabric. Having all this ready, we just have to do the same thing we do in the panties, measure the elastic of the legs and cut it 6.0 cm less than the total that it gives them. Then they close one side and measure the waist.
To elasticize the waist of the brief, you have to use elastic that is for that purpose, the measurements vary, but that is to everyone's taste, I buy a standard measurement, which is 30 mm. As in the manufacture of the panties, the entire waist is measured, 10% of the total is subtracted and it is sewn.
And so we finished a brief.
