A quienes como a mí nos sigue tocando guardar reposo, la situación no es fácil, se requiere de mucha fuerza de voluntad y espiritual para no arrancarse los cabellos y salir corriendo. Hoy por ejemplo mi día ha sido malo, sin deseo de nada y con ganas de cerrar los ojos y olvidarme de todo.

Today, for example, my day has been bad, with no desire for anything and with the desire to close my eyes and forget everything.

Sin embargo, vienen momentos donde me toca reflexionar y agradecer cada momento bueno o malo, entender que la vida continúa y que debemos seguir el camino aunque estemos agotados. Es por eso que decidí con mucho esfuerzo hacer esté post para ustedes.

However, there are moments when I have to reflect and be grateful for every good or bad moment, to understand that life goes on and that we must continue on our way even if we are exhausted. That is why I decided with a lot of effort to make this post for you.

El día 22 de octubre de este año, era una fecha muy especial, pues debíamos asistir a un evento que me encanta, porque me rodeo de muchas personas que amo y además recibimos capacitación espiritual que me ayuda mucho y también me sirve para apoyar a muchas personas que requieren de nuestro tiempo y buena disposición. Tenía pensado con días de anticipación hacer una linda falda para usarla ese día.

October 22nd of this year, was a very special date, because we had to attend an event that I love, because I surround myself with many people I love and also receive spiritual training that helps me a lot and also serves me to support many people who require our time and good disposition. I had planned days in advance to make a nice skirt to wear that day.

Para su diseño compré 1 metro de tela beverly estampada, está me pareció muy bonita, quería combinarla con un suéter rosado, pero todo quedó en mi imaginación. Para esos días andaba algo desequilibrada por la campaña de Zealy, era una experiencia nueva pero que me subía y bajaba como una montaña rusa.

For its design I bought 1 meter of printed beverly fabric, I thought it was very pretty, I wanted to combine it with a pink sweater, but it was all in my imagination. In those days I was a little unbalanced by the Zealy campaign, it was a new experience but it was going up and down like a roller coaster.

Con la ayuda de mi hija, mi compañera de costura, empezamos hacer los cortes según las medidas. Colocamos la tela al doblez y calculamos la cintura, cómo le muestro en la imágen, de la punta hacia abajo marcamos 25 cmt y ½ .

With the help of my daughter, my sewing partner, we started making the cuts according to the measurements. We placed the fabric at the fold and calculated the waist, as I show you in the picture, from the tip down we marked 25 cmt and ½.

Para establecer el largo según tela disponible, se decidió que fueran 52 centímetros, partiendo del primer corte de la cintura que se hizo y procedimos a picar la tela. Así va quedando según la foto.

To establish the length according to available fabric, it was decided that it should be 52 centimeters, starting from the first cut of the waist that was made and we proceeded to cut the fabric. This is how it looks like in the photo.

Se procedió hacer la costura para cerrar la falda, y a picar la pretina con las siguientes medidas: la altura de 8 centímetros al doblez de la tela y de ancho 42 al doblez también.

We proceeded to make the seam to close the skirt, and to cut the waistband with the following measurements: the height of 8 centimeters to the fold of the fabric and width 42 to the fold as well.

Una de las cosas que me preocupaba era el largo de la falda, así que con los retazos que quedaron del ancho de la tela, piqué unas tiras de 7 centímetros de alto y se la colocamos de ruedo, así quedó. Claro, me tocó bastear hasta repartirla de forma de faralao para que luego fuera más fácil coser en la máquina y retirar el hilo que utilicé para el basteo.

One of the things that worried me was the length of the skirt, so with the scraps that were left from the width of the fabric, I cut some strips of 7 centimeters high and we put it in the hem, and that's how it was. Of course, I had to baste it to distribute it in a faralao shape so that later it would be easier to sew in the machine and remove the thread I used for the baste.

Finalmente se procedió a colocar la pretina y listo mi falda estaba lista, pero mi suéter no, ni siquiera pude picarlo, razón por la cuál ese día no puede lucir mi falda, aún sigue guindada en mi guardarropa, esperando poder recuperarme más y poder terminar mi combinación de origen. De todos modos, estaré pendiente de mostrarle el conjunto completo. Por ahora solo les muestro una falda que también alboroto mis emociones.

Finally I proceeded to place the waistband and my skirt was ready, but my sweater was not, I couldn't even sew it, that's why I couldn't wear my skirt that day, it's still hanging in my closet, waiting to be able to recover more and finish my original combination. Anyway, I'll be waiting to show you the complete outfit. For now I'm just showing you a skirt that also stirred my emotions.
