"Vive el presente"
living in the present
¡Hola, espero la estén pasando muy bien!
Hi, I hope you are having a great time!
No todos los días son interesantes y divertidos. La paciencia, comprensión profunda a uno mismo y el querernos son fundamentales en estos tiempos donde "queremos que todo sea rápido" sin disfrutar cada instante del día.
Not every day is interesting and fun. Patience, deep understanding of oneself and loving ourselves are fundamental in these times where "we want everything to be fast" without enjoying every moment of the day.
Since I was a little girl I loved doing housework (that hasn't changed, haha). Although to most people it may seem boring or routine, for me it is one of the best experiences and I live it to the fullest... I would say that it is my hobby and like any hobby there are specific times and schedules to do it, that is, it is not an everyday thing.
¿Qué tiene que ver el pasatiempo con este amigurumi?
"What does the hobby have to do with this amigurumi?"
When I do simple things like housework, my mind focuses on this reality and I come up with ideas on how I can improve it. As for knitting, I will soon be writing patterns and it is difficult for me to design simple, practical and not so complex characters.
For example, for the border of this sailor dress I tried knitting it with different types of stitches and I also made combinations between them and none of them convinced me. So in the end I went back to the initial idea of knitting it with slipped stitches and giving it a triangular fringe shape.
Once the fringes of the dress were finished I continued with the face. This time the reference photo helped me because the eyes were stretched (like chinitos). I say it helped me because I usually use safety eyes and this makes the amigurumi get lost among the others and the style of each designer is not so noticeable.
After all that process (haha), I liked the result. Only because of the fringes I put it in intermediate level.
¡Y eso es todo!
¡…Hasta la próxima!
See you next time!
Dato curioso: Me dí cuenta que debo practicar más en tejer vestidos / I realised that I need to practice more in knitting dresses.
