¿Conocen al Zángano?
¡Hola, espero la estén pasando muy bien!
Hi, I hope you are having a great time!
If you've ever visited an apiary, you've probably seen the drone, although you may not have recognised it among the many bees. Before we move on to their anatomy, you should know their role. Drones are the only ones who fertilise the queen during her "nuptial flight". This is the most important activity in their life.
Veamos su anatomía
If we look at his head, he has two huge eyes (to see the queen) and three small compound eyes (which I will add). With that information, I came up with the idea of knitting her eyes as if she were wearing glasses.
In general, its body is more robust compared to the worker and queen. Another striking feature is its small abdomen (where the stripes go) and short wings.
¡Y eso es todo!
¡…Hasta la próxima!
See you next time!
Dato curioso: El zángano nace de un huevo no fecundado / Drone hatches from an unfertilised egg.
