Amigurumi #164: ¡Que empiecen los Juegos Panamericanos 2023! | Llavero de Fiu

Este tiempo pasaron demasiadas cosas. Estuve haciendo eso que me caracteriza "locuras y arte" ...traducción: "locuras mediante el arte". Luego de mis vacaciones forzadas o auto despido (jaja), volví. Espero no desaparecer tanto tiempo otra vez.

Too many things happened this time. I've been doing what I'm known for "madness and art" ...translation: "madness through art". After my forced holiday or self dismissal (haha), I came back. I hope I won't disappear for so long again.

¡Que empiecen los Juegos Panamericanos!

Para quienes somos de Latinoamérica este es un evento importante. Creo que es porque somos países hermanos y tenemos aspectos en común además del idioma. Este evento me emociona bastante, por eso diseñé a Fiu, la mascota de estos Juegos Panamericanos 2023.

For those of us from Latin America this is an important event. I think it is because we are brother countries and we have things in common besides the language. I am very excited about this event, which is why I designed Fiu, the mascot for the 2023 Pan American Games.

Cuando quiero tejer algo en específico busco referencias similares. En este caso, estuve buscando tipos de patas de aves y ninguna me interesó. Quería que las patas sean pesadas (por la gravedad) y no queden volando por allí. Para eso los dedos tenían que ser algo pesados y la pierna delgada. Esto lo logré mediante puntadas (cadenas y puntos deslizados) en 2 dimensiones (2D).

When I want to crochet something specific I look for similar references. In this case, I was looking for types of bird feet and none of them interested me. I wanted the legs to be heavy (because of gravity) and not fly around. For that the toes had to be somewhat heavy and the leg thin. I achieved this by means of stitches (chains and sliding stitches) in 2 dimensions (2D).

Este amigurumi está basado en la mascota oficial y no tanto en el pajarito real el cual tiene 7 colores (aunque yo veo más colores, jaja). Tejí 2, miden 6.5cm y 9cm. Uno con hilos de 4 hebras (8/4) y el otro de 8 hebras (8/8).

This amigurumi is based on the official mascot and not so much on the real bird which has 7 colours (although I see more colours, jaja). I make 2, measuring 2.6in and 3.5in. One with 4 strand yarn (8/4) and the other with 8 strand yarn (8/8).

En realidad tejí más, esta esta versión final. Ya sabes, Fiu está disponible en YouTube por si te animas a tejerlo.
