Using the ItSoStylish pattern drafting CAD makes drafting digital PDF sewing patterns really easy. The system is the closest thing to drafting patterns on paper that you’ll find. Anyone who can measure a line can use the system.
It’s taken me months to get the CAD this far, and I promised to give updates on my progress. So here’s the progress report:-
The system is now fully developed to draft a pattern from scratch. You can add and edit - lines, curves, arcs and text. Draft lines used for reference can be deleted. The system will grade the finished pattern into sizes as well. For size increments you simply need to tell the program how much to grade each line by and the system will do the rest.
Now, I must “clean up” the program and remove “notes to self” which the user can see and add a Google login so that each person can keep a record of the patterns they build. The software is completely free to use and ready to be integrated into a platform for designers to sell their digital pdf patterns as NFTs on Hive.
I made a halter top pattern and a crisscross cropped top pattern to demo the use of the visual CAD. The first video shows how to make a pattern using the system, while the second shows how to grade a pattern into various sizes.
