[ENG-SPA] Ninth challenge (Part I)/Noveno reto (Parte I)

Hello beautiful people of #NeedleWorkMonday, I hope you had a nice start of the week. Today I'm showing you the first part of a project I'm making for my mom. I hadn't participated in a challenge for a while, and I was encouraged even though I don't have time because of classes and work. I'm going to do my best to finish it all before the deadline, and if I don't make it at least I will have tried. I love hummingbirds a lot, in my house there is always a green one that has a purple tone when it shines. That's why I chose this shade of green to give life to this beautiful animal. I decided to do this project to have something to entertain my mind while I have some free time away from work and college, to de-stress and avoid reality a little bit. Another thing I like about the challenges is that in some of them you win learning and a certificate, but unfortunately in this challenge they won't give you a certificate to show it off to everyone 😅.

Holaaaa gente bella de #NeedleWorkMonday, espero hayan tenido un lindo inicio de semana. Hoy les muestro la primera parte de un proyecto que estoy haciendo para mi mamá. Tenía tiempo que no participaba en un reto, y me animé a pesar de que no tengo tiempo por las clases y el trabajo. Voy a hacer todo lo posible por terminarlo todo antes de la fecha, y si no lo logro por lo menos lo habré intentado. A mí me encantan muchos los colibríes, en mi casa siempre sale uno que es de color verde que al brillar tiene un tono morado. Por eso escogí este tono de verde para darle vida a este bello animal. Me animé a hacer este proyecto para tener con que entretener mi mente mientras tenga un poco de tiempo libre fuera del trabajo y universidad, para desestresarme y evitar un poco la realidad. Otra cosa que me gustan de los retos es que en algunos ganas aprendizaje y un certificado, pero lamentablemente en este reto no darán certificado para presumirlo con todos😅.

I had been sent the first part of the challenge on March 15, but only yesterday I had the opportunity to see it and start with the challenge. It was time to make the body and wings.

Me habían enviado el 15 de marzo la primera parte del reto, pero solo hasta ayer tuve la oportunidad de verlo y empezar con el reto. Tocaba hacer el cuerpo y las alas.

I started with the head and since I didn't have plastic eyes, I had to make do and put big beads on it, they weren't as pretty, but it was the only option I had. I stuffed the little body well before closing it completely. The pattern called for 3 hummingbirds, so I had to make each part multiplied by three.

Comencé con la cabeza y como no tenía ojitos de plástico tuve que ingeniármelas y colocarle mostacillas grandes, no quedaron tan bonitos, pero era la única opción que tenía. Rellené el cuerpecito bien antes de cerrarlo por completo. El patrón exigía 3 colibríes, así que debía hacer cada parte multiplicado por tres.

When I woke up I already had the second part and proceeded to do what was missing on the hummingbirds. I started with the tail wings. I made nine in total, three of each color.

Ya cuando desperté ya tenía la segunda parte y procedí a hacer lo que le faltaba a los colibríes. Comencé por las alitas de la cola. Hice nueve en total, tres de cada color.

Then I made the 3 picks, with the brown yarn and the number 5 needle. This is the thinnest yarn I have, that's why I used it.

Luego hice los 3 picos, con el hilo marrón y la aguja número 5. Este es el hilo más delgado que tengo, por eso lo usé.

For me this is the most stressful part which is sewing each of the parts together. I joined each wing first, then the small tail wings.

Para mí esta es la parte más estresante que es la de unir cosiendo cada una de las partes. Uní primero cada ala, luego las pequeñas alas de la cola.

I didn't have time today to finish each hummingbird, believe me I did my best effort, but making the beaks took me a lot of time because the color was dark and I couldn't see each point well and I had good lighting.

No tuve tiempo hoy de terminar cada colibrí, créanme hice mi mayor esfuerzo, pero hacer los picos me quitó mucho tiempo porque el color era oscuro y no lograba ver bien cada punto y eso que tenía buena iluminación.
