Halloween Challenge NeedleworkMask: My entry🎃

Greetings, dear #NeedleWorkMonday community 🤗 welcome to my blog. I'm so excited to show you my entry to the #halloweenmask contest that our friend Hive account@irenenavarroart created. I thought I wouldn't make it, because my time is significantly reduced, and more so with regards to my university's in-person classes starting. I'm sorry for getting lost here, it's hard for me to connect, when I have a little time available, the "internet" doesn't work, I've been a little active only on my Instagram account where I show the drawings I do when I don't have light or internet @ivydraw_cat. In another post, I will show you my class schedule so you can understand me. On Halloween I have always loved cats, so I decided to make a cat mask, I wanted it to look like the Catwoman mask, but since it didn't look like it, I decided to add other details. I also wanted it to be scary, but I didn't succeed in that either 😅. It took me a long time to think how to make a mask, I've made masks with fomi, but never felt it, it was a bit more complicated because it's a soft fabric, and I didn't know what it was going to look like. Anyway, even though it's not scary, I enjoyed making it. Saludos, querida comunidad #NeedleWorkMonday 🤗 bienvenidos a mi blog. Estoy muy entusiasmada de mostrarle mi entrada al concurso de #halloweenmask que creó nuestra amiga Hive account@irenenavarroart. Pensé que no lo lograría, debido a que mi tiempo está muy reducido, y más con respecto a que empezaron las clases presenciales de mi universidad. Lamento haberme perdido por acá y es que me es difícil conectarme, cuándo tengo un poco de tiempo disponible, el “internet” no funciona, he estado un poco activa solo en mi cuenta de instagram donde muestros los dibujos que hago cuando no tengo luz ni internet @ivydraw_cat. En otro post les mostraré el horario de clases que me tocó y así logren entenderme. En Halloween siempre me ha encantado al igual que los gatos, decidí hacer un antifaz de gato, quería que se pareciera a la máscara de gatubela, pero como no se parecía decidí agregarle otros detalles. También quería que diera miedo, pero tampoco lo logré 😅. Me tomó mucho tiempo pensar como hacer una máscara, he hecho máscaras con fomi, pero jamás con fieltro, era algo más complicado porque es una tela suave, y no sabía como me iba a quedar. De todos modos, aunque no da miedo, me encantó muchísimo hacerla. Aprovecho de invitar a Hive account@blanca56 Hive account@leslieq78 , de todos modos, aquí dejo el enlace por sí desean participar. Vamos con el paso a paso.

• First let's measure our face. Distance from ear to ear measured 26 cm, distance from eye to eye measured 4.5 cm, distance between forehead and eye measured 12 cm, and the distance between forehead and nose measured 7.5 cm. After having all the measurements we drew on a cardboard our cat mask.

• Primero vamos a medir nuestro rostro. Distancia de oreja a oreja midió 26 cm, distancia de ojo a ojo midió 4.5 cm, distancia entre la frente y el ojo dió 12 cm, y la distancia entre la frente y la nariz midió 7,5cm. Después de tener todas las medidas dibujamos en una cartulina nuestro antifaz de gato.

• With the help of the pins we hold the mold on the felt so that we can cut more easily. In the second picture you can see the mask already cut out.

• Con ayuda de los alfileres sostenemos el molde en el fieltro para que cortemos con más facilidad. En la segunda imágen pueden ver la máscara ya recortada.

• We cut out several shapes of different colors of felt, you can sew them to the mask, in this case I glued them with the liquid silicone.

• Recortamos varias formas de distintos colores de fieltro, ustedes pueden coserlas a la máscara, en este caso las pegué con el silicona líquida.

And that's it, this is how the "terrifying" cat mask turned out. I felt it was missing something and decided to put the cat-bat I made the other week. I hope you liked it and good luck to all of you. I wish you a happy halloween 🎃 See you soon.
