Tenía dentro de mi lista de proyectos por hacer (la cual cada día crece 😃), realizar unos apliques tejidos en la técnica Crochet y luego bordar con mostacillas sobre el tejido, se presentó la ocasión y hoy les muestro cómo lo hice.
Este aplique tejido lo coloqué sobre una anillo ajustable, con el fin de no tener problema con el tamaño, aunque sé para quien es este anillo no conozco el diámetro del dedo, este anillo será un obsequio para una gran amiga amante de las mariposas y de su significado, sé que estará feliz con su obsequio porque además es amante del arte en cualquiera de sus manifestaciones.
Decidí hacer un proyecto no tan laborioso para esta edición de los lunes, porque tengo una lesión en mi mano derecha☹️, la cual no me permite trabajar labores manuales como es debido; y qué creen, realizar este aplique no fue tan sencillo de realizar, lo seguí haciendo porque lo quería compartir con Uds.

I had in my list of projects to do (which grows every day 😃), to make some appliques woven in the Crochet technique and then embroider with beads on the woven, the occasion arose and today I show you how I did it.
This woven applique I placed it on an adjustable ring, in order not to have a problem with the size, although I know for whom this ring is for I do not know the diameter of the finger, this ring will be a gift for a great friend who loves butterflies and their meaning, I know she will be happy with her gift because she is also a lover of art in any of its manifestations.
I decided to make a not so laborious project for this Monday edition, because I have an injury in my right hand☹️, which does not allow me to work manual labor as it should; and what do you think, making this applique was not so easy to do, I kept doing it because I wanted to share it with you.
Note, it was hard for me to take the pictures, because of the discomfort in my hand.
Materiales
Para realizar este aplique tejido, seleccioné hilo bastante delgado, para ello tejí con hilo acrílico, ya que necesito que el aplique quede bien ajustado. Para este proyecto, no tuve que pensar mucho en los colores, a mi amiga le gusta mucho el color azul, así que usé dos tonos del color y también color negro.
Adicional usé ganchillo, aguja lanera, aguja para bordar mostacillas, tijeras, mostacilla y un anillo ajustable.
Materials
To make this woven applique, I selected fairly thin yarn, for this I knitted with acrylic yarn, as I need the applique to fit tightly. For this project, I didn't have to think too much about colors, my friend likes blue color, so I used two shades of the color and also black color.
In addition I used crochet hook, blunt yarn needle, beading needle, scissors, beads and an adjustable ring.
Pasos
Antes de comenzar a tejer, estuve buscando inspiración en Pinterest, conseguí un patrón el cual usé pero haciendo algunas modificaciones, acá les dejo el enlace del patrón.
Comencé con un anillo mágico, tejí primero el lado izquierdo de la mariposa y luego el lado derecho. En el patrón, no inician con anillo mágico, considero es mejor iniciar con el anillo mágico, de manera tal quede ajustado el centro.
Por otro lado el patrón, indica iniciar las vueltas con "tres cadenetas", yo no inicio este tipo de vueltas con "tres cadenetas", inicio las vueltas, tejiendo "punto alto falso", ya que el resultado es mucho más prolijo en los lados. En una publicación posterior, les contaré cómo realizar el punto alto falso.
Steps
Before starting to knit, I was looking for inspiration on Pinterest, I got a pattern which I used but making some modifications, here I leave the link to the pattern.
I started with a magic ring, I knit first the left side of the butterfly and then the right side. In the pattern, they do not start with the magic ring, I think it is better to start with the magic ring, so that the center is tight.
On the other hand, the pattern indicates to start the rows with "three chain stitches", I do not start this type of rows with "three chain stitches", I start the rows by knitting "false stockinette stitch", as the result is much neater on the sides. In a later publication, I will tell you how to knit the false double crochet.
Seguidamente, tejí el borde a la mariposa, el patrón tampoco lo sugiere. Lo tejí en un color diferente al color tejido inicialmente, de manera que se destaque el borde.
Next, using a wool needle, I cooked one of the sides. Then I pulled the yarn to crumple the woven piece together at the ends. I cut and hid the yarn.
Para continuar con este hermoso aplique de mariposa, tejí el centro, usé el color negro para destacar que es el centro y de visualice como en 3D.
To continue with this beautiful butterfly applique, I wove the center, I used the black color to highlight that it is the center and visualize it as 3D.
Esta parte del proyecto, resultó ser mi favorita, comencé por seleccionar el tamaño y color de la mostacilla, finalmente me decidí por las pequeñas, para que el brillo de la mariposa fuese discreto y delicado. Luego comencé a bordar, para ello usé hilo y aguja, usé solo una hebra de hilo para un acabado simple.
Primero bordé el lado derecho, el lado izquierdo me costó un poco, ya que quería que el bordado quedará simétrico con respecto al lado izquierdo.
This part of the project, it turned out to be my favorite, I started by selecting the size and color of the mustard, finally I decided on the small ones, so that the butterfly's shine would be discreet and delicate. Then I started embroidering, for this I used thread and needle, I used only one strand of thread for a simple finish.
First I embroidered the right side, the left side took me a little while, as I wanted the embroidery to be symmetrical with respect to the left side.
Para tejer las antenas, hice varios ensayos, entre ellos, usar el alambre que traen las mascarillas, ese alambre es parecido al que traen las bolsas de algunos productos. Es que me la paso pensando en que hacer con las mascarillas cuando las descarto, ya hice flores con ellas.
Bien, entonces tomé el alambre, el cual enrollaría con hilo negro, comencé con la tarea, previamente usando silicone, como les he comentado, no me gusta usar silicone, uso silicone cuando sea estrictamente necesario, ya que pienso que tenemos la aguja en cualquiera de sus expresiones y con la aguja debería hacer todo, como buscaba firmeza por eso decidí usar el alambre, pero se volvía un desastre cuando usaba el silicone, ya que se veía el pegamento, lo cual degradaba el resultado. Así que descarté, esta forma.

To weave the antennas, I did several tests, among them, using the wire that comes with the masks, that wire is similar to the one that comes with the bags of some products. I keep thinking about what to do with the masks when I discard them, I have already made flowers with them.
Well, then I took the wire, which I would roll with black thread, I began with the task, previously using silicone, as I have told you, I do not like to use silicone, I use silicone when strictly necessary, since I think we have the needle in any of its expressions and with the needle should do everything, as I was looking for firmness so I decided to use the wire, but it became a disaster when I used the silicone, since the glue was seen, which degraded the result. So I discarded, this way.

Finalmente, para hacer las antenas, coloqué el hilo doble y tejí cadenetas, luego en los extremos coloqué mostacillas. Luego cocí las antenitas a la mariposa, la mariposa luce preciosa.
La parte posterior de la mariposa, no lucía bonita, así que usé otro material que uso poco, como lo es el foami, hice una copia de la silueta de la mariposa y lo pegué en la parte posterior, no estoy del todo satisfecha, para un próximo aplique buscaré otra opción para colocar atrás, seguramente será tela.
Finally, to make the antennae, I placed the double thread and wove chain stitches, then at the ends I placed beads. Then I stitched the antennae to the butterfly, the butterfly looks beautiful.
The back of the butterfly did not look pretty, so I used another material that I rarely use, such as foami, I made a copy of the silhouette of the butterfly and glued it on the back, I am not completely satisfied, for a next applique I will look for another option to place on the back, it will probably be fabric.
Para completar el proyecto, usando silicone pegué el aplique de mariposa sobre el anillo ajustable.
To complete the project, using silicone I glued the butterfly applique onto the adjustable ring.

Este tipo de apliques pueden resultar decorativos para muchas cosas, tarjetas, envoltorios de regalos, marca libros, toppers de postres, ganchos, diademas, entre otros. Ah! también se pueden usar como prendedores o para hacer zarcillos.
A mí me gustó cómo luce en el anillo, definitivamente esta es una pieza exclusiva que lleva impreso mucho amor, dedicación y entusiasmo, la cual la hace valiosa.

This type of applique can be decorative for many things, cards, gift wrapping, bookmarks, dessert toppers, hooks, headbands, among others. Oh, they can also be used as pins or to make earrings.
I like the way it looks on the ring, this is definitely an exclusive piece that has a lot of love, dedication and enthusiasm printed on it, which makes it valuable.
