I am still sewing and embroidering gifts. My brother-in-law asked my sister to embroider the words “It’s time to unwine”on the back of a T-shirt for him.
I found these oven mitts with a wine and cheese theme on the fabric. The back of the oven mitt is a solid red which would allow me to embroider words on it. I took the side seams loose so that I could float the back of the mitt on my embroidery hoop.
I used a temporary re-positioning spray adhesive to stick the mitt to the stabilizer on the hoop. This spray adhesive keeps me from having to hoop the fabric because it is too thick.
After I embroidered that phrase, I just have to sew the side seams back together again.
These oven mitts are inexpensive to purchase and easy to embroider if you have the right supplies. They make wonderful gifts.
