A week after Valentine's Day, I got an order from my former customer, who wants to order a crochet black halter top with a mix of yellow-colored yarn. She sent the design of the top, which was one of my designs as well. This was the second time she had ordered from my shop.
This top was made from 3-ply mercerized cotton in an orange and golden yellow color. To make it thicker, I blended the two yarns together.
The pattern of this top was so simple and easy. I guess any beginner could follow if there were written instructions, a video tutorial, or even by simply looking at the design. And how I wish I could spare more time to make it and be able to share the procedures with you here in the future.
I remember I had made several different colors of this design, so I tried looking at all the photos I uploaded on all my social media accounts. And what I found were these 3 colors: first, the yellow one; second, the neon green color; and third, I think, was a mixed-color yarn.
If you noticed, the yellow-colored top wasn't exactly of the same design and differed only on the chest area. All three tops were made from polyester yarn. And if you would ask me which yarn type I would prefer in making crochet summer tops, I would choose the mercerized cotton yarn as it is high-quality and will last for many years.
I think this design is one of the most ordered crocheted summer tops we have in our shop. I also like this design, which gives a sexy outlook but is still not daring enough to show more skin. I mean, the tummy area was still covered despite the holes in it.
Anyway, back to my client, she ordered a crochet black halter top and a Rasta-colored short (in December 2021). I used mercerized cotton for this pair. She was satisfied and happy after receiving it.
This time, she was asking for another crocheted black halter top with a mix of yellow-colored yarn.
In this top, I used 5-ply mercerized cotton instead of 3-ply, which was already enough in thickness.
Even after completing this top in two days of effort, I was itching to produce more. It's been a long time since I made some crocheted tops. And since I still had enough yarn, I created another one, using mostly black and just a small amount of yellow enough to make the left cup.
I would like to know some of your feedback on this particular summer top in the comment section, and I would be happy to read even one.
As summer draws near, I intend to showcase this top in the Sagay City Showroom.
And I will definitely include this purple-shaded beach top, which I made a year ago. And give some discounts to anyone who would avail of this one.
If I were to remake this one, what color would you suggest I use?
