"A GOAL is a dream with a DEADLINE." Napoleon Hill
I started this year intending to make at least 50 pieces of crochet flower bouquets for the whole year. I don't remember what I have eaten that day why I decided that way of setting a definite number with a timeframe. I really did challenge myself. 😅
But take note, that I used the word 'make' instead of 'sell' because I don't know yet if people will patronize it the way they did with my crochet wearables such as swimwear, earrings, hats, etc. So I decided that whether it will be a commissioned project or not, I would continue making the 50 pieces flower bouquets. Anyway, I have lots of time to do it since I have until December 2023.
It seems that crocheting these flowers looks easy so I have the confidence in making my goal into reality. Little did I know that wrapping those flowers into bouquets will give me a hard time. But thanks to all the tutorials on the internet, I have settled on my way of wrapping the flowers. But honestly, up until now, I am not still that 100% confident with my wrapping style yet and I think I'll have more time to improve as long as I continue doing this.
Valentine's day really makes my goal possible. I was amazed at all the random customers (mostly strangers) who messaged and ordered a flower bouquet for their loved ones that right after February 14, I was able to sell 50 pieces of flower bouquets out of 60. Plus I was able to receive some orders for the coming days.
My heart is full of gratitude and I am very thankful that God had given me this kind of talent, for this opportunity and all the favors that I was able to achieve my goal sooner than I expected.
I am overjoyed also knowing that the 2 students that I was teaching crochet before had made their sales also during valentine's day with their own made flower bouquets.🥰
Last time, I was able to share it here my 1st 15 crochet flower bouquets. And today, though I wanted to show also the 16th to 50th crochet flower bouquets, because I was running out of time during valentine's day that I wasn't able to capture their pictures. Some flower bouquets were almost the same so I decided to choose only a few.
I want to thank for showing me support by ordering 3 crochet flower bouquets and I'm glad that he liked them. 🥰 He told me that one of the flower bouquet will be given to his mother. Sweet boy! 🤭
I was thankful also to my neighbors who bought some single tulips for their loved ones.
The last two pictures were a surprise gift for their wives. I really appreciate those kind of husbands who still gave flowers to their partners.
This one was ordered by a husband who worked abroad to surprise her dearest wife. He even asked to deliver it in their house but we (with my husband) lost our way and end up meeting her wife on the road.😅
And finally, this flower bouquet will be given to 's wife who will be celebrating their wedding anniversary. We agreed to settle the payment with the use of HBD as my mode of payment and hopefully, he would not be the one who will be doing it in the future.
CONCLUSION:
Setting up a goal with definite number to reach and a timeframe is really an effective way of challenging yourself. Because on the process, you're able to discover your capabilities and unlock new skills.
Thank you and God bless everyone.
