Blessed Monday. I'm back here. It's been a few days since I've been in the community due to some health problems, but I had time to make this pretty headband, it's easy to crochet and the result is beautiful. I was delighted because it forms a braid on the base that looks great. I made it with little wool material and as it is a little thick, it goes very fast, in a matter of a few hours and we have it ready.

Hace unos días que no me he pasado por la comunidad debido a algunos problemitas de salud, pero tuve tiempo para realizar esta bonita diadema o vincha, se teje de manera fácil, y el resultado es hermoso. Yo quedé encantada porque se forma una trenza sobre la base que luce formidable. La realicé con poco material de lana y como es un poco gruesa, se avanza muy rápido, en cuestión de unas horas ya la tenemos lista.

The first thing we do is knit 10 single crochet over an elastic ponytail. Then we knit 10 single crochet rows and in the third row we knit double crochet, but without knitting the last stitch.

Lo primero que hacemos es tejer 10 puntos bajos sobre una coleta elástica. Luego tejemos 10 puntos bajos de vuelta y en la tercera vuelta tejemos puntos altos, pero sin tejer el último punto.

In the next row we begin to work the braid and for this we pick up 7 chain stitches. We direct the chain in the opposite direction to where we were knitting. We pass the needle through the penultimate stitch and knit a slip stitch. Now we knit 10 single crochet stitches over the chain we just crossed.

En la siguiente vuelta comenzamos a trabajar la trenza y para ello levantamos 7 puntos de cadena. Direccionamos dicha cadena en sentido opuesto hacia donde estábamos tejiendo. Pasamos la aguja por el penúltimo punto y realizamos un punto deslizado. Ahora tejemos 10 puntos bajos sobre la cadena que acabamos de cruzar.

We pass the needle through the last stitch that we had left unknitted and pick up the high stitch that was missing to finish the row. Pick up three chains and continue the next row with single crochet stitches to repeat the procedure of the 7 chain stitches, always anchoring in the opposite direction and through the penultimate stitch of the previous row. Remember to leave a single crochet stitch unknitted to close it once we have knitted the 10 single crochet stitches on the chain.

Pasamos la aguja por el último punto que habíamos dejando sin tejer y levantamos el punto alto que faltaba para terminar la vuelta. Levantamos tres cadenas y continuamos la siguiente vuelta con puntos bajos para repetir el procedimiento de los 7 puntos de cadena, anclando siempre en dirección apuesta y por el penúltimo punto de la vuelta anterior. Recordemos que debemos dejar un punto alto sin tejer para cerrarlo una vez que hayamos tejido los 10 puntos bajos sobre la cadena.

In this way we advance until we determine the length we want. How cute, and although it looks thick, it still looks delicate and romantic, it must be because of the shape of the braid. De esta forma avanzamos hasta determinar el largo que deseemos. Que muy linda, y aunque se ve gruesa, no deja de lucir delicado y romántico, debe ser por la forma de la trenza. A mí me gustó, aunque obviamente debo usarla con otro tipo de peinado, porque con el cabello recogido no me siento tan segura, pero ahora se trata de lucir la diadema y espero que les guste.
