El día de hoy les quiero compartir el segundo atuendo de invierno que he realizado para mi querida Kalanny.
Blessed Monday my dear needleworkers, I hope you are well. Welcome once again to my blog. We meet again on a Monday of needlework creations.
Today I want to share with you the second winter outfit I have made for my dear Kalanny.
Winter is not really my favorite season of all since I am very cold and when the temperature drops a lot I don't have a good time, my hands and spine hurt a lot.
However, the best part was knitting winter accessories for the family, there are so many things to knit, from hats, scarves, shawls and mittens.
However, my aches and pains have not allowed me to knit as much as I would like, so I practice knitting to scale for the doll.
Besides the fact that I love making new outfits for Kalanny, this allows me to try new patterns more quickly and without exhausting myself so much.
This time I have knitted a sweater with a very soft pyma cotton yarn. This sweater is one of those sweaters that are very big but very warm. I would really love to have one made in this material because I love its soft texture. Below I show you the materials and the step by step to follow to make it. It should be noted that this same procedure can be followed to knit the sweater in real size, you just need to take the necessary measurements.
- Hilo 100% algodón Pyma
- Aguja de crochet #3mm
- Tijeras
- Marcadores de tejido.
- 100% Pyma cotton yarn
- Crochet needle #3mm
- Scissors
- Knitting markers.
To make this sweater I knit two squares with a base chain of 20 chains. Each square has a total of 15 rows of stockinette stitch.
After the two squares are ready, place the fabric markers to separate the space between the sleeve opening and the collar. Everything else is sewn with a wool needle.
At the armhole opening, I started knitting in a circular pattern using single crochet until the desired sleeve length is obtained. Repeat the process with the other sleeve.
En el caso del cuello, preferí dejarlo muy abierto para que sea mucho más cómodo.
To make the sweater a little different and with a more modern style, I knitted a small cord that I used to go all the way through the center front so that it allows the sweater to pucker up a little. This way you get a variation but you can wear it both ways.
In the case of the collar, I preferred to leave it very open to make it much more comfortable.
In addition to the sweater, I made a straight cut jeans skirt below the knees with an applique knitted in the same material as the sweater. To go with the whole outfit, I knitted a hat of the same model I showed in the previous post and a nice necklace to match the whole outfit. I really enjoy doing this kind of activity with my doll, it's an activity that allows me to dream that I'm a clothing designer and I'm getting ready for my next fashion show hehe.
Another process that I really enjoy after I finish knitting is taking pictures to show the final result. It always turns out to be a lot of fun and Kalanny is very helpful during the whole session.
Thank you once again for visiting my blog and joining me during the creative process of my crochet garments. If you like to develop any kind of art with needles or fibers and yarns I invite you to share your projects in our beloved community
, where we meet every Monday to share our experiences. Greetings and blessings!
