Blessed day my dear and appreciated NeedleWorkMonday friends, we meet again on our Needle Monday, it is a pleasure to read and visit your posts and see your new projects. For my part, today I share with you images of the project I was working on over the weekend.
As I mentioned before, July is a month with a lot of birthdays and special occasions in my family, so I've been quite busy knitting little gifts. This time it's the turn of one of my younger sisters who has a birthday this week. For her I decided to knit a small but cute card holder in purple.
For this card holder I worked with a new material that I bought on the internet a few days ago. This material is called Colombian macramé and it is a 2mm thick acrylic material, it has shine and its colors are very cheerful. It is a very nice material to work with and the weave is quite firm.
The pattern for this card holder is very similar to one I knitted a few months ago; the difference is that for this model I chose to knit a fantasy stitch on the front part of the card holder, the rest of the project is knit in single crochet. This is a project that can be knitted quite quickly, since it only consists of knitting single crochet stitches back and forth until the desired size is completed.
After the whole piece is completed, it is folded in two parts, the clasp is placed and the sides are sewn. This way you get two pockets of the ideal size to store bank cards and identity documents.
I think a card holder is a good option to give to my sister because she doesn't like big wallets. She is very practical and likes to go out only with what she needs. This card holder is ideal for carrying ID, bank cards and cash. This has become one of my favorite projects, as it is quite simple and quick to knit and it is also an excellent option to give as a gift on special occasions. It is a pleasure to share with you once again, thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
