MWM|| ALFILETERO DE GIRASOL TEJIDO A CROCHET 🌻🌻🌻

Bendecido día mis queridos y apreciados amigos de NeedleWorkMonday, espero que se encuentren muy bien, gozando de buena salud y haciendo lo que más les guste. En esta publicación les quiero mostrar como elaboré este bonito girasol que servirá de alfiletero.

Blessed day my dear and appreciated NeedleWorkMonday friends, I hope you are well, enjoying good health and doing what you like the most. In this post I want to show you how I made this beautiful sunflower that will serve as a pincushion.

Este proyecto lo hice a petición de mi madre, a quien le gusta mucho coser. En el pasado ya le había tejido un alfiletero en forma de flor, pero como lo elaboré con estambre grueso, le ha salido bastante pelusa y ya no se ve bonito. Por eso ella me pidió que le haga otro alfiletero, pero, esta vez, ella quiere que sea un alfiletero estilo pulsera, para que ella se lo pueda colocar y así tener los alfileres siempre a la mano (literalmente).

I made this project at the request of my mother, who loves to sew. I had already knitted her a flower pincushion in the past, but since I made it with thick yarn, it got a lot of lint on it and it doesn't look pretty anymore. So she asked me to make her another pincushion, but this time she wants it to be a bracelet style pincushion, so that she can put it on and have her pins always at hand (literally).

Para esta ocasión decidí tejer un girasol, ya que es mi flor favorita y a mi mamá también le gusta mucho. El patrón para este girasol es muy sencillo. Se inicia tejiendo el centro de la flor en color marrón para el frente y en color verde para la parte trasera. Luego ambas piezas se cosen y se rellenan un poco de relleno antialérgico. Después de tener el centro relleno y cerrado, se procede con los pétalos que obviamente se tejen en color amarillo. En la parte trasera, que va en color verde, se tejen unas pequeñas hojas, haciendo puntos bajos y cadenetas.

For this occasion I decided to knit a sunflower, since it is my favorite flower and my mom also likes it very much. The pattern for this sunflower is very simple. You start by knitting the center of the flower in brown for the front and in green for the back. Then both pieces are sewn together and stuffed with some allergy friendly stuffing. After having the center filled and closed, we proceed with the petals, which are obviously woven in yellow. In the back part, which is in green, we knit some small leaves, making low stitches and chain stitches.

Con la flor lista, lo siguiente que hice fue coser un poco de elástico grueso a la parte trasera del girasol. El alfiletero debe quedar como una especie de reloj de pulsera. Los alfileres se colocarán en la parte central del girasol que está tejido en color marrón. Como este centro tiene suficiente relleno, no existe ningún riesgo de que mi madre se pueda pinchar o lastimar con alguno de los alfileres.

With the flower ready, the next thing I did was to sew some thick elastic to the back of the sunflower. The pincushion should look like a kind of wristwatch. The pins will be placed in the center part of the sunflower that is woven in brown. Since this center has enough padding, there is no risk that my mother could get pricked or hurt by any of the pins.

Desde hace ya varias semanas que mi mamá había visto esta idea de alfiletero en Pinterest y me había pedido que le hiciera algo parecido, pero por diversas situaciones, yo no había podido cumplir con su pedido. Ahora me siento bastante contenta de poder complacer a mi mamá, ya que es ella la que siempre está consintiéndonos. Fue un gusto poder compartir con ustedes un nuevo proyecto. My mom had seen this pincushion idea on Pinterest several weeks ago and had asked me to make her something similar, but for various reasons, I had not been able to fulfill her request. Now I feel quite happy to be able to please my mom, since she is the one who is always spoiling us. It was a pleasure to be able to share with you a new project.
