Greetings NeedleWorKMonday crafter friends, I wish you a great weekend where you can rest and share with your family.
I tell you that lately I have been very active with my needles knitting new projects, learning new stitches and enjoying what I am passionate about which is crocheting.
Today I want to share with you a very simple and easy project, but also very useful. It is a nice card holder knitted in one piece.
One of the things I like to knit the most are wallets, purses and purses, but this is the first time I knit a card holder. This idea came up because of the need to have something small and simple where I can carry only what I need when I go out to do my quick shopping. When I lived in Peru I used to use coin purses, since coins are widely used in that country, here in Venezuela coins are not used and very little cash is used, the most common are debit cards. So I looked for the threads of the color of my preference and started working on this card holder.
Once again, I decided to weave with two strands; one strand of raw wick and one strand of acrylic. I really love this combination because it gives me the texture and firmness that I look for in this type of projects.
The process is very simple and the best thing is that it is knitted in one piece. Just weave a rectangle long enough to fold in 4 parts and get the size of the card. Then I attached a magnetic clasp to close it and a decorative button on the front. I chose to work with low stitches so that the fabric would be very dense, but you can work with different stitches according to your taste.
Cuéntame, a ti qué te pareció.
Gracias por leer, saludos y bendiciones.
After attaching the brooch, close the sides with the help of a wool needle. This is how simple and with very little material you can make this beautiful card holder. I really liked the final result, as well as the color that resulted from the combination of the two threads. I'm planning to make another one with brighter colors and maybe I'll try another stitch.
Let me know what you thought.
Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
