Blessed day to all needleworkers, I hope you are having a nice Easter. As for me, I'm taking advantage of some free time to practice knitting flowers, since one of the goals I set for this year is to learn how to knit flowers in various patterns and styles. This time I was practicing how to knit flowers in puto puff. These flowers look very beautiful, they are characterized by being fluffy which makes them very striking.
I saw these flowers for the first time in a YouTube tutorial, and I was really fascinated, I put them on my list of things to learn to knit and finally this weekend I started with the project. These flowers can be made in different sizes and colors and can be used to decorate other projects and even purses and knitted garments.
This time I chose to knit small flowers so I could use scraps of wool of different colors. At first it seemed complicated, but once I understood how to make the petals, everything was easier and even very fun. The first thing to do is to make the center of the flower with a circle of twelve low stitches. Then you make the color change and proceed with the petals. The petals are made in puff stitch made up of six high stitches. In total there are six petals distributed in the twelve single crochet stitches of the first round. The stitches should be knit loosely so that the petals have the puff effect we want to achieve.
With these flowers you can make different projects, in some tutorials I could see that you can make purses, rugs, purses, blankets and many other things, just by joining the flowers together. The bigger the project, the more flowers you have to weave. I don't have any projects in mind yet, but I'm sure I'll come up with something soon. For now, I'm just having fun knitting these cute little flowers.
So far I have made 18 small puff flowers, but I hope to continue knitting many more. I was also able to try different types of yarn and the ones that look best are the ones made with worsted yarn, the thicker the material, the prettier they look.
Knitting these little flowers has been super relaxing and I am very happy with the result, I hope you like them too. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
