Blessed Needle Monday, my dear and appreciated NeedleWorkMonday friends, I hope you are in good health and in good spirits to continue with our needlework. My posting today was a bit delayed due to some power failures, but I am happy not to miss our special day to meet and share our needlework.

Today I couldn't bring you a complete project, but I'm excited to share the progress of my next Granny Squares based project. I was very busy this weekend finishing some projects that had been on pause for some time for different reasons. The truth is that I did a lot of knitting this weekend. But despite being very exhausted, I was anxious to start knitting a new granny project and so I chose my yarn colors; located a pattern that was simple and started knitting.
The fact was that I got halfway through and had to stop because I started to feel a sharp pain in my right hand, from my wrist to my fingertips. My thumb and index finger hurt like hell, so with a lot of frustration I stopped my knitting to rest my hands.

I found the pattern for this granny on Pinterest, there are plenty of patterns there, some more beautiful than others, but I chose a very simple and easy to knit one. For this new project I will need a total of 13 squares. I decided to make the center of the thirteen grannys and then knit the edges. I only managed to complete 4 squares when I started to feel the pain and had to stop. I felt a little frustrated because I am so excited about this project, I wanted to see it finished, but I also realized that the body gives us signals and warns us when it needs rest.

After resigning myself to the fact that I couldn't have the project ready for today, I watched some videos on You Tube where they show some exercises for knitters and I did the ones that didn't cause me pain. It's not the first time this situation happens to me, so I decided to slow down a bit, what happens is that the weekend is when I have a little more time to knit and I think I want to do a lot of things in those two days.

Gracias por leer y muchas bendiciones.
I don't usually share unfinished projects, but I thought it would be interesting to share this experience with you and I would love to know if you have ever felt the same frustration or if you have had to stop a project because your body is crying out for a break. I hope to share soon the final result of this project that will be on pause only for a few days.
Thanks for reading and many blessings.
