Blessed day my dear needleworkers, we meet again on another wonderful Monday of needlework and lots of creativity. For today I bring you a super easy and simple project, although perhaps a little untimely. It's about making a beautiful card, which in this case, I made it for Mother's Day, but it can easily be made for any occasion.
- Cartulina escolar
- Cartulina doble cara
- Hilo acrílico para tejer
- Retaso de tela estampada
- Cinta de raso blanca
- Aguja de crochet
- Tijeras
- Punzón
- School cardboard
- Double-sided cardboard
- Acrylic yarn for weaving
- Stamped fabric strips
- White satin ribbon
- Crochet needle
- Scissors
- Awl
#1
The first step is to cut the school cardboard and the double-sided cardboard to the size we want our card to be. Then glue both cards with liquid silicone.
#2
Using a punch or hole punch, punch holes all around the edge of the card.
#3
With a very thin crochet needle, knit low stitches all around the edge where the holes are. In the corners you should knit three stitches in the same hole to cover the whole edge.
#4
Then knit fans of 5 high stitches in the space between each low stitch of the previous row, separated by a single crochet. This sequence is done all around the edge of the card.
#5
With the printed fabric, cut out an image, which can be a flower or any other print; in my case I cut out a cute heart. Then glue the applique to the card with some liquid silicone.
#6
To finish, we place a small satin ribbon bow and write a nice message.
In this simple and quick way we can make a nice card to go with our gifts. As you may have noticed, I always try to include crochet in almost all my projects, it's my personal touch haha. Thanks for taking the time to read, greetings and blessings.
