Hello my dear needleworkers, we meet again on another Monday of needle creations. I would like to highlight the pleasure it gave me to see so many publications for the contest proposed by OCD, it was very pleasant to see that many people were encouraged to visit us.
There was a lot of creativity overflowing and it was very motivating to see all the wonders we can do with needles. That is why for today I am encouraged to show you a little more of my work and evolution as a crocheter.
Here in Lima winter is approaching and although it scares me a little because I am very cold, it also excites me because it is the time when I make woven garments the most. Today I want to share with you some pieces that I knit in my second winter in this city, I had the opportunity to knit garments that I did not imagine I would ever knit since in my country the climate is very hot most of the time.
In addition to the different models of hats that I already showed you in a previous post, some time ago, I also made some scarves, scarves, ponchos and slippers. The material that I used in most of these garments was an antiallergic wool called "Baby Perlite".
Knitting winter clothes was something very new for me but also very exciting, every time I was looking for new models that I could learn and as the winter was so long, I had enough time to do many things.
Back then, since I knitted for my family members and also for some friends, I was able to visit a place where they sold wool wholesale. It was a wonderful experience, I could see very beautiful but also very expensive animal wool, such as alpaca and vicuña wool.
For this winter I want to try to weave different things with a little more complex techniques and try new fibers. I would love to be able to compare with my previous fabrics and evaluate a little my evolution as a weaver. So I hope to be sharing my new projects with all of you. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
