Happy and blessed weekend to all my Hive friends, especially to my fellow NeedleWorkMonday community members. Today I am very happy to share with you again my crocheted projects.
This time I bring you some pictures of my progress with knitting flowers of different shapes, sizes and colors.
Whenever I have some free time, I take my needle and balls of yarn to practice making crocheted flowers. At the moment I am starting with flat flowers, but my intention is to learn how to knit amigurumis flowers.
This time I practiced weaving very small flowers. For this I used acrylic yarn, a triple zero needle and some scissors. I took the time to search the Pinterest platform for some images of woven flowers with their respective patterns that I could be guided by, at least at first. After understanding the basis of the pattern and knowing the number of petals for each flower, the rest of the process becomes much simpler.
I can say that by following a pattern, the process becomes easier. Most of the small flowers I knitted for this practice have 5 and 6 petals, which is easy to knit. However, I would like to learn how to weave flowers like sunflower and daisy because they have many more petals and besides that, they are my favorite flowers.
These small flowers can be used as appliqués for other projects, such as headbands for girls, buckles and pigtails. They can also be used to decorate bags and even T-shirts. For my part, I'm still not sure where I'm going to use these little appliqués, for now I want to continue weaving many more, then I'll look for a project where all of them can harmonize.
Soon I will start practicing with amigurumi style flowers, while I will be looking for more small flower patterns to knit in my spare time. It was a pleasure to say hello and share with you a little of my progress. Thank you all for reading, greetings and blessings.
