El día de hoy estoy muy complacida de poder participar en este reto de #NeedleworkjeansContest.
Así que como parte de mi primera participación vengo a compartir con ustedes un espectacular bandolero circular que llamo mucho mi atención y me propuse hacer.
Hace un tiempo he pensado crear mis propios bolsos y carteras, ya que por motivos de costos se me ha dificultado poder comprarme algunas cosas que antes las podía adquirir con mayor facilidad, mi economía no es la mejor en estos momentos, ya no puedo darme tantos lujos, menos en plena compradera de útiles para el nuevo año escolar, así que porque no hacer mis propios bolsos.
Me fui a revisar algunas gavetas donde guardo cualquier material útil, allí conseguí muchos materiales, sobre todo de jeans, creo que a todos nos encanta usar jeans, es un material que no pasa de moda lo cual son muy aprovechables, y útiles para hacer variedad de accesorios, con diferentes modelos, colores y texturas, me ha gustado mucho esta idea de jeans porque se puede hacer mucho, en esta ocasión elegí para esta gran oportunidad como entrada al concurso un nuevo bandolero, ya que hace un tiempo realice uno tejido para llevar el teléfono, en esta ocasión este no ha sido el más fácil, pero de eso se trata un reto.
Por eso, Pese a todas las variantes que se me presentaron en el proceso de diseño, no me di por vencida hasta lograr el resultado final de mi creación.

Today I am very pleased to be able to participate in this #NeedleworkjeansContest challenge.
So as part of my first participation I come to share with you a spectacular circular bandolier that caught my attention and I set out to make.
For some time I have been thinking about creating my own bags and purses, since for cost reasons it has been difficult for me to buy some things that before I could buy more easily, my economy is not the best right now, I can no longer afford so many luxuries, especially in the middle of buying supplies for the new school year, so why not make my own bags.
I went to check some drawers where I keep any useful material, there I got many materials, especially jeans, I think we all love to use jeans, it is a material that does not go out of fashion which are very usable, and useful to make a variety of accessories, with different patterns, colors and textures, I really liked this idea of jeans because you can do a lot, this time I chose for this great opportunity as an entry to the contest a new bandolier, because some time ago I made a woven one to carry the phone, this time this has not been the easiest, but that's what a challenge is all about.
Therefore, despite all the variants that were presented to me in the design process, I did not give up until I achieved the final result of my creation.

Comencé reuniendo los materiales que me parecieron ideales para hacer este bandolero más llamativo, conseguí varios retazos de jeans de variados colores, y tela estampada para el forro.
Hilos de color verde, blanco, marrón y azul, 2 cierres, uno para el bolsillo de la parte interna y uno principal.
También hice unos patrones en cartulina para que se me hiciera más fácil al momento de cortar cada pieza.
Material para colocarlo dentro de las piezas del forro y la pieza externa que me pareció bueno para darle firmeza a este bandolero, así evitar que pierda la forma, este material, es una goma espuma muy usada para los bolsos.
Tijera, lápiz, aguja, cinta métrica, argollas para la correa, apliques decorativos, máquina de coser.
Seguidamente, me dispuse hacer las diferentes piezas utilizando los patrones que ya tenía cortados, de este modo recorte cada círculo colocando sobre la tela el patrón, luego corte cada una de las tiras que son con diferentes tamaños y colores que van colocadas en modo horizontal para hacer la parte externa principal del bandolero, después comencé hacer una costura de basta para luego coser en la máquina.
I started gathering the materials that I thought were ideal to make this bandolier more eye-catching, I got several pieces of jeans of different colors, and printed fabric for the lining.
Green, white, brown and blue threads, 2 zippers, one for the inside pocket and one for the main pocket.
I also made some patterns on cardboard to make it easier for me to cut each piece.
Material to place inside the pieces of the lining and the external piece that I thought was good to give firmness to this shoulder bag, to avoid losing its shape, this material is a foam rubber very used for bags.
Scissors, pencil, needle, measuring tape, rings for the strap, decorative appliqués, sewing machine.
Next, I set out to make the different pieces using the patterns that I had already cut, so I cut out each circle placing the pattern on the fabric, then I cut each of the strips that are with different sizes and colors that are placed horizontally to make the main outer part of the bandolier, then I began to make a seam of enough to then sew on the machine.

Para hacer la pieza más lisa y firme, planche la tela luego de coserla, después hice una circunferencia de 20 cm.
Decidí colocarle una manzana decorativa, la misma borde por los orillos con hilo de color verde, también antes de sellar la manzana le coloque un relleno de goma espuma imaginando que me daría un bonito volumen, pero realmente no fue lo que me esperaba debido a que no se nota la gran diferencia de volumen y tiende arrugar un poco la tela de la manzana solamente, el resto de la tela queda perfecto.
Luego de culminar el bordado con hilo, comencé a colocar unas imitaciones de cristales de Swarovski por todo el borde de la manzana.

I decided to place a decorative apple, the same edge by the selvages with green thread, also before sealing the apple I placed a foam rubber filling imagining that it would give me a nice volume, but it really was not what I expected because it does not notice the big difference in volume and tends to wrinkle a little the fabric of the apple only, the rest of the fabric is perfect.
After finishing the embroidery with thread, I began to place some imitation Swarovski crystals all around the edge of the apple.

Culminando con la decoración de la manzana en la capa principal, realice la pieza del forro junto con la pieza posterior, comenzando con el forro dibuje una línea horizontal con 2 triángulos en cada lado, luego los corte para colocar el cierre desde la parte interna, junto con el bolsillo, que saque de una tela de retazo estampado, de 12 por 12 cm, estas medidas deben coincidir con el cierre, luego se cierra y se le pasa una costura superior para mejorar el acabado del bolsillo que va en la capa posterior interna.
Teniendo listo el bolsillo uni las tres piezas de la parte posterior del bandolero con costura en la máquina.
Finishing with the apple decoration on the main layer, make the lining piece together with the back piece, starting with the lining draw a horizontal line with 2 triangles on each side, then cut them to place the zipper from the internal part, together with the pocket, which I took out of a printed patchwork fabric, 12 by 12 cm, these measures must coincide with the zipper, then it is closed and a top seam is passed to improve the finish of the pocket that goes on the internal back layer.
Once the pocket is ready, join the three pieces of the back of the bandolier with machine stitching.

Con todas las piezas cosidas, es momento de darle forma a este bandolero cosiendo cada una para luego voltear y solo faltaría colocar la correa, una de las varias cosas que me sucedió fue que las hebillas para sujetar la correa eran demasiado pequeñas, por suerte conseguí otras bien adecuadas.
En este paso uno de mis retos más difíciles fue la colocación de los cierres, en este paso específicamente se me dificulto darle un buen acabado a los laterales del cierre principal quedando con unos detalles bastante visibles, por lo que tuve que pensar en algo, así que se me ocurrió la idea de colocarle unos detalles de jeans de color negro y el resultado fue un éxito, porque parece un detalle decorativo y se ve muy bien adecuado.
With all the pieces sewn, it's time to give shape to this bandolier sewing each one and then flip it over and just need to place the strap, one of the several things that happened to me was that the buckles to hold the strap were too small, luckily I got other suitable ones.
In this step one of my most difficult challenges was the placement of the clasps, in this step specifically I had a hard time giving a good finish to the sides of the main clasp leaving some details quite visible, so I had to think of something, so I came up with the idea of placing some details of black jeans and the result was a success, because it looks like a decorative detail and looks very well suited.

Finalmente, después de unir las piezas, termine con la colocación de los sesgos de tela para evitar deshilar la tela de la parte interna del bolso.
Luego cosí la correa que es el resultado de unas tiras de jeans de 1,40 cm de largo, colocadas a cada lado en las hebillas, con un doble de 10 cm por cada lado, quedando la correa en 1,20 cm, tomando como medida de referencia un bandolero que estoy utilizando actualmente.
Mis queridos amigos hasta aquí mi reto del día, espero que les guste es un bandolero muy lindo, y les cuento que no fue fácil, pero no hay nada más gratificante que hacer las cosas lo mejor que podamos, ponerle mucho corazón y entusiasmo a cada cosa buena que nos propongamos hacer, porque es parte de la satisfacción personal y el desarrollo de las habilidades de cada ser valiente y capaz de asumir desde los pequeños retos hasta los más grandes.

Finally, after joining the pieces together, I finished with the placement of the fabric biases to avoid unraveling the fabric on the inside of the bag.
Then I sewed the strap that is the result of some strips of jeans of 1.40 cm long, placed on each side in the buckles, with a double of 10 cm on each side, leaving the strap at 1.20 cm, taking as a reference measure a bandolier that I am currently using.
