Hello friends from Needle Work Monday! I hope you are doing well today and that you are having a wonderful start to the week ❤. I'm having a good March around here in general, since the beginning of the month I've been traveling, first to the beach and now to the mountains. It has been an incredible month and I still have a few more days of walking ❤.
Checking some photos on my phone, seeing if I have any projects that I have not shared with you, I found these photos that I had completely forgotten. They are from the project I was doing in DECEMBER, just the day my sewing machine broke.
¡Hola amigos de Needle Work Monday! Espero que se encuentren muy bien hoy y que esten teniendo un maravilloso inicio de semana. Yo por aquí estoy teniendo un buen marzo en general, desde principio de mes que estoy de viaje, primero en la playa y ahora en la montaña. Ha sido un mes increíble y aún me quedan unos días más de paseo ❤.
Revisando algunas fotos en mi teléfono, viendo si tengo algún proyecto que no haya compartido con ustedes, me encontré con estas fotos que las tenía completamente olvidadas. Son del proyecto que estaba haciendo en DICIEMBRE, justo el día que mi máquina se rompió.
This project was intended to be a tablecloth for Christmas 😅❤. However, that day I was doing it my machine stopped working and I couldn't finish it. This idea had emerged as a recycling of many scraps of broderie that I had around.
What I was doing was joining the pieces of fabric in the shape of rectangles and my idea was to join them together, but I remember that it was difficult because all the rectangles were of different sizes.
Este proyecto pretendía ser un mantel para Navidad 😅❤. Sin embargo, ese día que lo estaba haciendo mi máquina dejó de funcionar y no pude terminarlo. Esta idea había surgido como reciclaje de muchos retazos de broderie que tenía dando vueltas por ahí.
Lo que estaba haciendo era unir los pedazos de tela en forma de rectangulos y mi idea era unirlos entre sí, pero recuerdo que era difícil porque todos los rectángulos me quedaban de diferentes tamaños.
Here you can see what I say. And also the other problem: that my cats wouldn't stop laying down on my tablecloth project!
Aquí puedes ver lo que digo. Y también el otro problema: ¡que mis gatos no dejaban de acostarse en mi proyecto de mantel!
But the real purpose of my post is to reflect on procrastination. Well, on that occasion my machine was broken for only a week. But when it worked again I never finished the tablecloth 😂. From December until now you may have noticed that I have sewn many things, but this project never saw the light of day again.
Pero el verdadero propósito de mi post es hacer un reflexión acerca de la procrastinación. Bueno, en esa ocasión mi máquina estuvo rota solo una semana. Pero cuando volvió a funcionar nunca terminé el mantel 😂. Desde Diciembre hasta ahora pueden haber notado que he cosido muchas cosas, pero este proyecto nunca más volvió a ver la luz.
Sometimes exactly that happens to me, I start new projects before finishing the previous ones. This is how now I have a long list of sewing requests from my friends but in the end I always end up sewing things for myself 😅.
Now that I have seen the photos of my unfinished tablecloth again, it has brought me nostalgia. Surely when I return from my trip I will finish it, unless I think of sewing something else 😅❤.
A veces me pasa exactamente eso, empiezo nuevos proyectos antes de terminar los anteriores. Es así como ahora tengo una larga lista de pedidos de costura por parte de mis amigas pero al final siempre termino cosiendo cosas para mí 😅.
Ahora que he vuelto a ver las fotos de mi mantel inconcluso me ha traido nostalgia. Seguramente cuando vuelva de mi viaje lo termine, a menos que se me ocurra coser otra cosa 😅❤.
