Someone once told me that the truly talented person is one who manages to make something out of nothing. I liked that phrase and I identified myself as talented in those occasions that with few ingredients it occurs to me to make a delicious meal 😊.
Today was another one of those days, when I managed to make this little pillow here from the hospital 😚.
Una vez alguien me dijo que el verdadero talentoso es aquel que logra hacer algo a partir de nada. Esa frase me re gustó y me auto-identifiqué como talentosa en aquellas ocasiones que con pocos ingredientes se me ocurre hacer una comida deliciosa 😊.
Hoy fue otro de esos días, cuando me ingenié para hacer esta pequeña almohada aquí desde el hospital 😚.
The nurse who treats me is very friendly and we became friends. That is why yesterday I made this syringe drawing for him and earlier today I added his name.
El enfermero que me atiende es muy amable y nos hicimos amigos. Es por eso que ayer hice para él este dibujo de jeringa y hoy más temprano añadí su nombre.
My idea with these embroideries is to make small pillows but sewn by machine, when I return home. But I couldn't stand the anxiety and boredom here so I decided to hand stitch it to give him today.
To do it, I faced two fabrics and joined them with the same embroidery thread.
Mi idea con estos bordados es hacer pequeños almohadones pero cosidos a máquina, cuando vuelva a mi casa. Pero no podía aguantar la ansiedad y el aburrimiento aquí así que decidí coserlo a mano para regalarselo hoy.
Para hacerlo enfrenté dos telas y las uní con el mismo hilo de bordar.
Next, I had to think about the filling. It occurred to me to use a giant gauze that they had given me in case my scar got ugly but luckily it didn't, so I had it unused. The most surprising thing was that it was just the right size to fit my fabrics.
Luego, tuve que pensar en el relleno. Se me ocurrió usar una gasa gigante que me habían dado por si mi cicatriz se ponía fea pero por suerte no fue así, entonces la tenía sin usar. Lo más sorprendente fue que tenía la medida justa para entrar en mis telas.
Finally, I closed the bottom of the pillow with a stitch similar to the one I had done on the other edges.
Finalmente, cerré la parte de abajo del almohadon con una puntada parecida a la que había hecho en los otros bordes.

Doing this entertained me quite a bit while listening to the radio. I like to do useful things, I can't spend time doing nothing. I also don't like to nap every day so I am satisfied with today's project. I hope you liked it!
Hacer esto me entretuvo bastante mientras escuchaba la radio. Me gusta hacer cosas útiles, no puedo pasar el tiempo sin hacer nada. Tampoco me gusta dormir la siesta todos los días así que estoy satisfecha con el proyecto de hoy. ¡Espero que les haya gustado!
