Espero que tengan una linda semana y hoy, en este lunes de costura, vengo con un bonito proyecto que estuve realizando para regalarle a una compañerita de clase y amiguita de mi princesa Ámbar, quien estuvo cumpliendo el fin de semana 6 años.
La verdad que no sabía qué regalar y, como ya había pensado hacerles unos accesorios para el cabello a otra amiguita que también estaba cumpliendo años, pensé en preparar unos lazos para las dos y así los podían usar para el colegio o para vestir normalmente en el día a día. Aunque al final, todos se fueron en solo regalo.
Para esto estuve utilizando diferentes tipos de tela: una blanca con relieve que no estira y otra blanca tipo lino un poco elastizada, delicada, transparentosa y muy bonita, así como la azul chambray que tiene una buena caída para este tipo de accesorios.
Las medidas que estuve utilizando para los lazos, que fueron dos pares, uno blanco y uno azul, fueron de 37 cm de largo y de 10 a 12 centímetros. Para el par de scrunchies azules estuve utilizando 50 cm de largo por 12 de ancho y unos 16 cm de elástico por cada uno, y para la blanca estuve utilizando 75 cm de largo por 12 cm de ancho y 18 cm de elástico.
Ya en otras oportunidades les he estado mostrando el paso a paso de cómo hacer las scrunchies y estos lazos se hacen muy fácil; lo pueden ver a través de las imágenes. En esta oportunidad, lo que le hice diferente fue que le pasé costura una vez ya formados los listones y esas costuras por el borde, que son meramente decorativas; de verdad que le dieron un plus muy especial, me gustaron mucho; además, le da más estructura a la pieza.
Por sí solos ya se veían muy bonitos, pero al colocarles esas tiras bordadas, quedaron mucho más lindos. Ya yo les había hecho unos a Ámbar con un bordado que también les estuve mostrando por aquí, pero de esta forma se hacen mucho más fáciles, aunque llevan más costuras y se ven igual de lindos.
Las scrunchies pueden ver que son diferentes, puesto que a las azules también les hice una costura decorativa y se ve la pieza más fuerte, por decirlo así, y también le da más estructura a cómo se ve la blanca. Sin embargo, la blanca me gustó mucho, ya que tiene más tela y, por el texturizado de la tela, se ve demasiado linda.
Estoy pensando seriamente en hacer estos tipos de accesorios para vender y así poder generar algunos ingresos con este don de la costura que estoy aprendiendo. Las hice bastante rápido y prácticamente las terminé minutos antes de salir a la fiesta; se las estuve midiendo a mi princesa Arianna, la vi peinándose su hermosa cabellera y aproveché de tomarle algunas fotos.
Una anécdota de este regalo es que, al otro día de haber ido a la fiesta, me doy cuenta que se me había quedado uno de los lazos, así que ya será otro día o cuando comiencen las clases que se lo entregue a la cumpleañera, que es compañera de clase de Ámbar. Puesto que como les comenté ayer en mi blog no están insistiendo a clase, ya que en la ciudad tenemos más de dos semanas sin que llegue agua normalmente y por esto han suspendido las clases.

Little gifts made with love and fabric
Greetings and blessings, my dear friends in this lovely community. I hope you have a wonderful week. Today, on this Monday of sewing, I bring you a lovely project I made as a gift for a classmate and friend of my princess Amber, who turned six this weekend.
I honestly didn't know what to give her, and since I had already thought about making some hair accessories for another friend who was also celebrating her birthday, I decided to make some bows for both of them so they could wear them to school or with their everyday outfits. In the end, though, they all ended up as gifts.
For this, I used different types of fabric: a white embossed fabric that doesn't stretch and another white linen-type fabric that is slightly elastic, delicate, transparent and very pretty, as well as blue chambray, which drapes well for this type of accessory.
The measurements I used for the bows, which were two pairs, one white and one blue, were 37 cm long and 10 to 12 cm wide. For the pair of blue scrunchies, I used 50 cm long by 12 cm wide and about 16 cm of elastic for each one, and for the white ones, I used 75 cm long by 12 cm wide and 18 cm of elastic.
I have already shown you step by step how to make scrunchies on other occasions, and these bows are very easy to make; you can see how in the pictures. This time, what I did differently was that I sewed the ribbons once they were formed and those seams along the edge, which are purely decorative; they really gave them a very special touch, I liked them a lot; it also gives the piece more structure.
They already looked very pretty on their own, but adding those embroidered strips made them even prettier. I had already made some for Ámbar with embroidery that I also showed you here, but this way they are much easier to make, even though they have more stitching and look just as pretty.
You can see that the scrunchies are different, as I also added decorative stitching to the blue ones, which makes the piece look stronger, so to speak, and also gives the white one more structure. However, I really liked the white one, as it has more fabric and, because of the texture of the fabric, it looks really pretty.
I am seriously thinking about making these types of accessories to sell so that I can generate some income with this sewing skill that I am learning. I made them quite quickly and practically finished them minutes before leaving for the party; I was measuring them on my princess Arianna, I saw her combing her beautiful hair and took the opportunity to take some photos of her.
An anecdote about this gift is that, the day after the party, I realised that I had kept one of the bows, so I will give it to the birthday girl, who is Amber's classmate, another day or when classes start again.
