Ahora bien, para crear este bonito proyecto, estuve utilizando una tela muy suave y con un estampado colorido. Les cuento que la tengo desde el año pasado y la compré solo para practicar un vestido que tenía en mente y que aún no hago. Que, según con hacerle 3 aberturas a la tela, ya está el vestido. Y lo mejor de esta tela fue que me costó en 1 $ y, miren, qué lindo vestido me salió.
Como el vestido era para ir a la playa, busqué ideas de vestidos de verano, que fueran frescos y cómodos, además de que fuera descote en la parte de la espalda.
Una vez tuve el modelo en mente de lo que iba a hacer, utilicé unos patrones que ya tenía para la parte de arriba, e hice uno para la parte de la falda y lo que sería la espalda.

Como pudieron ver, escogí el corte princesa en la parte de adelante y con tiras que se cruzaran al cuello. La parte de la espalda la hice en tela doble y embonada para que se viera tan linda por fuera como por dentro.
El corte princesa lleva varias partes que al unirlas le da una bonita forma al cuerpo y con esta tela se trabaja muy bien este modelo, realmente me gusto, ya que por lo general las prendas que he comido han sido con tela plana y esta es de punto, tiene elongación y hay que tener cuidado de no estirar la tela.
Les cuento que la parte de la falda yo quería que se viera lisa por la parte de adelante y bastante fruncida en la parte de atrás y cuando ya tenía el vestido listo, le quedó muy grande la parte de atrás, así que tuve que descoser, cortar y volver a coser, cosas que pasan en mis proyectos, pero que los resuelvo rápido, gracias a Dios.
Y hablando de rápido, este vestido lo hice en tiempo récord, por eso no tomé tantas fotos del proceso.
Por eso, a penas, cuando llegamos a donde sería la celebración de mi princesa, fue que le tome fotos a mis hermosas creaciones, a mi hija con su vestido, je, je, je.
Le hicimos un pequeño compartir en la playa con los familiares más cercanos y algunos amigos de ella y por aquí les dejo algunas fotos de como estaba de bella mi princesa, el vestido le quedo fabuloso y además una amiga le hizo unas trenzas con cabello sintético color naranja para qué le combinaba con su vestido.
Ella también se pintó las uñas con los colores del vestido y hasta estaba contenta con unos lentes que le compramos. Mi hija estaba realmente feliz y radiante. Yo estoy orgullosa de complacerla, verla radiante y disfrutando de lo que le hago y de que pudiera festejar su cumpleaños en la playa como quería.

Now, to create this beautiful project, I used a very soft fabric with a colorful print. I've had it since last year and bought it just to practice making a dress I had in mind and still haven't made. According to the instructions, all I had to do was make three openings in the fabric, and the dress would be ready. The best thing about this fabric was that it only cost me $1, and look how cute the dress turned out.
Since the dress was for the beach, I looked for ideas for summer dresses that were cool and comfortable, as well as low-cut in the back.
Once I had a model in mind for what I was going to make, I used some patterns I already had for the top and made one for the skirt and what would be the back.

As you can see, I chose a princess cut for the front with straps that cross at the neck. I made the back with double fabric and lining so that it would look as pretty on the outside as it does on the inside.
The princess cut has several parts that, when joined together, give the body a beautiful shape, and this fabric works very well with this style. I really liked it, since the garments I have made in the past have generally been with flat fabric, and this one is knit, which stretches, so you have to be careful not to stretch the fabric.
I wanted the skirt to be smooth at the front and quite gathered at the back, but when the dress was finished, the back was too big, so I had to unpick, cut, and re-sew it, which is something that happens in my projects, but thankfully I can fix it quickly.
Speaking of quick, I made this dress in record time, which is why I didn't take many photos of the process.
That's why, as soon as we arrived at my princess's celebration, I took photos of my beautiful creations, my daughter in her dress, hehehe.
We had a small gathering on the beach with her closest relatives and some of her friends, and here are some photos of how beautiful my princess looked. The dress fit her fabulously, and a friend even braided her hair with orange synthetic hair to match her dress.
She also painted her nails with the colors of the dress and was even happy with the sunglasses we bought her. My daughter was really happy and radiant. I am proud to please her, to see her radiant and enjoying what I do for her, and that she was able to celebrate her birthday on the beach as she wanted.
