In my country Cuba there is something that is not missing in any kitchen, because it is very useful, it is none other than the famous and traditional handles, we make them in different shapes and colors, always trying to unite the useful to the pleasant, in any Cuban kitchen you visit you will find them, I doubt there is one that does not have them, with the most varied forms, but the ones I like the most are the most used, the squares, but they never go alone, we always accompany them with a cloth to dry the hands and we make them combined with the handles, like the ones I show you.
En mi país Cuba hay algo que no falta en ninguna cocina, porque es muy útil, no es otra cosa que las famosas y tradicionales agarraderas, las hacemos de diferentes formas y colores, siempre tratando de unir lo útil a lo agradable, en cualquier cocina cubana que visites las encontrarás, dudo que haya una que no los tenga, con las más variadas formas, pero las que más me gustan son las más usadas, las cuadradas, pero nunca van solos, siempre los acompañamos con un paño para secar las manos y los hacemos combinados con las agarraderas, como los que les muestro.

They are 2 squares, one 15 cm x 15 cm and the other smaller 13 cm x 13 cm, the latter is smaller because it is to cut the fabric. that is used for filling should be smaller because it goes inside the handle that is made with the larger mold.
Para hacer las agarraderas usé unos moldes que eran de mi mamá, ella me los donó porque ya no los hace. Son 2 cuadrados, uno de 15 cm x 15 cm y otro más pequeño de 13 cm x 13 cm, este último es más pequeño porque es para cortar la tela. que se usa para el relleno debe ser más pequeño porque va dentro de las agarraderas que se hace con el molde más grande.
On that occasion I made the potholders combining beige and brown fabrics and in each one I put a radish, I like to decorate them with fruits and vegetables that abound in my country. To do it I applied the patchwork technique and the embroidery is very beautiful, I did the same with the cloth to dry my hands, because I always like them to combine.
En esa ocasión hice los agarraderas combinando telas beige y marron y en cada uno puse un rábano, me gusta decorarlos con frutas y vegetales que abundan en mi país. Para hacerlo apliqué la técnica del patchwork y el bordado es muy bonito, hice lo mismo con el paño para secarse las manos, porque siempre me gusta que combinen.
To make the radishes, my little 5-year-old neighbor lent me a coloring book that had many fruits and vegetables and I traced them on a white piece of paper, because although I did not use all of them, they are good for another time and save them for new creations, well I like to use them to decorate the kitchen.
Para hacer los rábanos, mi vecinito de 5 años me prestó un libro para colorear que tenía muchas frutas y verduras y las tracé en un papel blanco, porque aunque no las usé todas, sirven para otro momento y las guardé para nuevas creaciones, pues a mí me gusta usarlas para adornar la cocina.

As the contest was to beautify the kitchen and I have to confess that I needed it, as I already explained I also made some napkins, and as I wanted them to match the other pieces I wanted to make them beige, but that fabric was not enough, so I cut 6 rectangular triangles from the beige fabric and 6 from the brown fabric, I joined them in the center, leaving rectangular napkins. I decorated them with a radish leaf using the same technique.
Como el concurso era para embellecer la cocina y tengo que confesar que lo necesitaba, como ya expliqué también hice unas servilletas, y como quería que combinaran con las demás piezas quise hacerlas beige, pero esa tela No fue suficiente, así que corté 6 triángulos rectangulares de la tela beige y 6 de la tela marrón, los uní por el centro, dejando unas servilletas rectangulares. Los decoré con una hoja de rábano usando la misma técnica.

Estos objetos en la cocina para mi son muy importantes por la gran utilidad que tienen, además hacerlos con amor y dedicación le aportan belleza a la cocina, lugar donde procuro que sea uno de los más acogedores de casa, pues me gusta mucho cocinar y cuando estoy en ese momento de creación estar en un ambiente armónico me estimula más. Coloqué las cervilletas enrolladas en un envase de cristal para destinarle un lugar en la cocina de facil acceso.
