Good morning friends of the needles, it's Monday and the morning is very ugly in Buenos Aires, and as every week, I bring you the project I've been working on and although in the case of today, I have not finished it yet, I will tell you the setbacks I've been going through, and those that are being more difficult to cope with.

Buen día amigas de las agujas, es lunes y está muy fea la mañana en Buenos Aires, y como cada semana, les traigo el proyecto en el que he trabajado y aunque en el caso de hoy, aún no lo termino, les contaré los traspiés que vengo atravesando, y los que están siendo más difíciles de sobrellevar.

On the one hand, the reason for this amigurumi. I started very happy and passionate about making Wonder Woman, one of the girls of the murga has turned 8 years old and in an afternoon of talks, where she found out about my passion for knitting, she asked me if I could make this character for her. Very quickly I got excited and looked for some projects already made by other people to guide me. Luckily I got a free tutorial of the pattern and although I changed some things, there I dove in, wrote down all the steps and advanced, slowly but surely.

Por un lado, el motivo de este amigurumi. Comencé muy feliz y apasionada por hacer a la mujer maravilla, una de las niñas de la murga ha cumplido 8 años y en una tarde de charlas, donde se enteró de mi pasión por el tejido, me preguntó si podía hacerle este personaje. Muy rápidamente me entusiasmé y busqué algunos proyectos ya realizados por otras personas para guiarme. Por suerte conseguí un tutorial gratuito del patrón y aunque cambié algunas cosas, allí me zambullí, apunte todos los pasos y avancé, lenta pero segura.
It happens that I find myself very discouraged with the crochet world because although I am passionate about it, I wish I had more time and tranquility to carry it out. I was supposed to get paid some money on Friday and this didn't happen, so on Saturday I couldn't go to my usual rehearsal or bring the present to the little birthday girl. I got a lot discouraged, sometimes it's hard for me to jump over these hurdles, especially when money is involved.

Sucede que me encuentro muy desanimada con el mundo del crochet ya que aunque me apasiona, quisiera tener más tiempo y tranquilidad para llevarlo a cabo. Se suponía que me pagarían un dinero el viernes y esto no ocurrió, por lo que el sábado no pude ir a mi ensayo habitual ni llevarle el regalo a la pequeña cumpleañera. Me desanimé un montón, a veces es difícil para mí saltar estos obstáculos, sobre todo cuando el dinero está de por medio.

I wonder if I should focus my energy differently and this lapse of sadness in my mind doesn't allow me to do that most of the time.

Me pregunto si debería enfocar mi energía de otra manera y este lapso de tristeza en mi mente no me lo permite la mayoría de las veces.
That's why even though I have all the pictures of this week's weaving, I haven't finished it. The hair (according to the pattern) should be glued, at least the bottom part. I don't have glue so I couldn't do it. Still, I tried to position it to make the seams invisible and couldn't bring myself to do them. When I feel bad, I am very distrustful of myself and afraid of making a mistake, so I prefer to leave it for another time, where my focus is this one and not the fear of error occupying my mind.

Es por eso que aunque tengo todas las fotos del tejido de esta semana, no lo he terminado. El cabello (según el patrón) debería ir pegado, al menos la parte de abajo. No tengo pegamento así que no lo pude hacer. Aún así, intenté posicionarlo para hacer las costuras invisibles y no me atreví a hacerlas. Cuando me encuentro mal, desconfío mucho de mi misma y temo equivocarme, entonces prefiero dejarlo para otro momento, donde mi foco sea éste y no el miedo al error ocupando mi mente.
On the other hand, the knitting was quite simple to follow, I loved all the details, the tiara, the chain, the skirt and the ruffle on the boots. The hair was also something different from what I usually see in other amigurumis, it is made with an oval base and then all the strands are woven in, making it look like a wig on the doll's head.

Por otro lado, el tejido fue bastante sencillo de seguir, amé todos los detalles, la tiara, la cadena, la pollera y el volado de las botas. El cabello también fue algo distinto a lo que suelo ver en otros amigurumis, se realiza con una base ovalada y luego se tejen todos los mechones, logrando así que parezca como una peluca sobre la cabeza de la muñeca.

Apart from the details that make me feel bad and my own discouragement, I think that all knitters find us at some point doubting our abilities, I am quite happy and satisfied with the final result. I just need to regain my confidence and at least finish this project to decide whether or not I will continue my efforts to grow as a crocheter.

Sacando los detalles que me tienen mal y mi propio desánimo, creo que a todas las tejedoras nos encuentra en un momento dudando de nuestras capacidades, estoy bastante feliz y conforme con el resultado final. Solo me resta recuperar mi confianza y al menos, terminar este proyecto para decidir si seguiré haciendo o no mis esfuerzos para crecer como crochetera.
The size turned out to be quite considerable, I don't usually make amigurumis so big, unless it is required, as in the case of Bonclay, because of the amount of details it had. And although this character could have been smaller, it wasn't so much knitting time compared to the size, which is considerable, at least for me. It is approximately 22 cm, and I hope with patience that little Juana will like it and make her happy. Besides, I want to add a “cape” with the colors of the Argentine flag, I think it will be a great detail for the little birthday girl.

El tamaño resultó bastante considerable, yo no suelo hacer los amigurumis tan grandes, salvo que así lo requiera, como el caso de [Bonclay](https://peakd.com/hive-127911/@littlesorceress/nwm-bon-clay-okama-de-one-piece-amigurumi-eng-esp), por la cantidad de detalles que llevaba. Y aunque este personaje podría haber sido más pequeño, no fue tanto el tiempo de tejido en comparación al tamaño, que es considerable, al menos para mi. Es de 22 cm aproximadamente, y espero con paciencia que a la pequeña Juana le guste y la haga feliz. Además, quiero añadirle una “capa” con los colores de la bandera Argentina, creo que será un gran detalle para la pequeña cumpleañera.
